Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is associated with significant morbidity/mortality. AF-ablation is an increasingly used treatment. Currently, first-time AF-ablation success is 40-80% at 1-year, depending on individual factors.

The CHESS trial studied the effects of a short non-pharmacological intervention of education with self-management support for people affected by migraine and/or tension type headache for at least 15 days per month for at least three months. There were no statistically significant effects on the Headache Impact Test-6 (HIT-6) at 12-months.

Design: Pragmatic, multicentre, parallel group, superiority randomised controlled trial.
Setting: England and Wales, with home based interventions delivered remotely online from a single trial hub.
Objective: To study clinical characters and outcomes in patients of malignant ovarian germ cell tumor (MOGCT) undergoing surgery following neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT).
Methods: Retrospective study of patients undergoing surgery following NACT for MOGCT at our institute. Platinum based chemotherapy was given in all patients in NACT.
Purpose: Adolescent emergency department (ED) patients have unmet social needs that contribute to ED use. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of social needs navigation for adolescents on subsequent ED visits and community resource use and to identify characteristics associated with elevated social risk.
Methods: Between July 2017 and August 2019, we used a random date generator to establish intervention and control group enrollment dates.
Rhinoviruses (RVs) can cause severe wheezing illnesses in young children and patients with asthma. Vaccine development has been hampered by the multitude of RV types with little information about cross-neutralization. We previously showed that neutralizing antibody (nAb) responses to RV-C are detected twofold to threefold more often than those to RV-A throughout childhood.

Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered digital support is emerging as an aid to assist with the interpretation of auscultated sounds. A few AI-augmented digital stethoscopes exist but none are dedicated to pediatrics.

Pegloticase is often the last line of therapy for patients with uncontrolled gout; therefore, achieving a successful course of treatment is critical. The infusion nurse's role in patient education, serum uric acid monitoring, and patient medication compliance is essential for ensuring patient safety and maximizing the number of patients who benefit from a full treatment course of pegloticase.

There is a differing pathogenic potential of various species. Since species isolated from OLP and oral lichenoid lesions (OLL) have shown to be resistant to commonly used antifungal agents, identification of species may play a pivotal role in its successful clinical management.

Critical theory can address many of the conceptual weaknesses of current approaches, help identify how racism operates in health care, and open the door for more effective individual employee and organizational actions to advance health equity. We apply Martín-Baró's (1996) liberation psychology to lessons we learned through implementing a transdisciplinary national health and health care equity program.

It performs many important physiological catalytic and non-catalytic functions in mammalian cells. Apart from physiological functions, like the biosynthesis of vital molecules, this NAD(P)+ substrate-dependent enzyme superfamily is primarily involved in catalyzing the oxidation of highly reactive exogenous and endogenous aldehydes to their respective carboxylic acids.

Methods: We conducted a quality improvement project to reduce routine laboratory testing among pediatric patients requiring admission to our psychiatric unit. We convened key stakeholders whose input informed the modification of an existing pathway and the development of a medical clearance algorithm.
Background And Objectives: Chronic headache disorders are a major cause of pain and disability. Education and supportive self-management approaches could reduce the burden of headache disability. We tested the effectiveness of a group educational and supportive self-management program for people living with chronic headaches.
