Semi-rigid bases are widely used in road construction due to their excellent properties, high rigidity, and frost resistance, and they have been in service for many years. However, as the service life increases, the maintenance demands also grow, with traditional maintenance methods still being the primary approach. Based on a typical case using ground-penetrating radar (GPR) technology, this study explores the issue of cracks in semi-rigid bases and their impact on overlay layers.

However, the extent of microbial contamination in raw yak milk during frozen storage and its impact on milk quality remains largely unexplored. This study analyzed the changes in bacterial populations and quality of raw yak milk stored at -18 °C for 6 months.

The results showed that the reducing sugar content of all four sweet potato polysaccharides increased significantly during digestion. During in vitro fecal fermentation, the content of reducing sugars and total carbohydrates decreased significantly.

Recent studies have found that bovine milk exosomes can improve intestinal mucosal health by delivering microRNA (miRNA), but the mechanism of action is so far unknown. In the present study, we analyzed the differential expression profiles of miRNA in colostrum and mature milk exosomes using high-throughput sequencing, based on the demonstration that colostrum exosomes inhibit the lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced intestinal epithelial NF-κB inflammatory pathway better than mature milk exosomes.

The environmental footprints of China's high-speed railway (HSR) have attracted much attention nationally and internationally. Although there is some research focusing on CO emissions, a comprehensive environmental impacts assessment of HSR construction is still lacking. In this study, the emissions of the Beijing-Tianjin intercity HSR line was calculated using a hybrid input-output life cycle assessment method to quantify the environmental impacts of HSR throughout its construction.
