Cystine and theanine for chemoradiotherapy-induced esophagitis in non-small cell lung cancer: a prospective observational study.

Purpose: Although several potential radioprotectants have been explored, radiation esophagitis is still difficult to control. Further development of supportive therapies is required. Our purpose was to investigate the efficacy and safety of cystine and theanine for esophagitis in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients undergoing chemoradiotherapy (CRT).
