The Chinese poultry industry has witnessed rapid development, with laying hens playing a pivotal role. However, the escalating demand has led to an exponential increase in the population of laying hens raised, resulting in emerging challenges. Particularly during bacterial infections, substantial losses can be incurred.

Here, we present a case of a 65-year-old man diagnosed with SCNEC concurrently combined with SCLC. He received first-line platinum-doublet chemotherapy combined with durvalumab, followed by radiotherapy to thoracic as well as head and neck regions.

Anti-PD-1 immunotherapy has significantly prolonged Event-free Survival (EFS) in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC). However, its potent anti-tumor effects can also attack normal tissues and organs, leading to immune-related adverse effects (irAE), with the thyroid being one of the most commonly affected organs.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the performance of LLMs in answering questions regarding breast cancer in the Chinese context.
Material And Methods: ChatGPT, ERNIE Bot, and ChatGLM were chosen to answer 60 questions related to breast cancer posed by two oncologists.
Background/purpose: Gastric dose parameters comparison for deep inspiration breath-hold (DIBH) or free breathing (FB) mode during radiotherapy (RT) for left-sided breast cancer patients (LSBCPs) has not been investigated before. This study aimed to analyze the impact of Active Breath Coordinator (ABC)-DIBH technique on the dose received by the stomach during RT for LSBCPs and to provide organ-specific dosimetric parameters.
Materials And Methods: The study included 73 LSBCPs.
: We aim to investigate the clinical factors that affect the prognosis of overall survival (OS) for patients with high-grade parotid gland mucoepidermoid carcinoma (high-grade pMEC) and construct a nomogram for prognosis prediction. : Totally, 519 patients diagnosed as high-grade pMEC from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results (SEER) database between 2004 and 2015 were reviewed. Independent prognostic factors for OS were identified by univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses.

As an oncogene, long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) nuclear enriched abundant transcript 1 (NEAT1) promotes cell proliferation, migration and invasion several types of cancer. The present study aimed to reveal the effects of NEAT1 on the progression of LSCC.

The radiation sensitivity of tumor cells is closely related to tumor cell hypoxia. Hypoxia-inducible factor-1α (HIF-1α) is considered a key transcription factor which regulates the sensitivity of hypoxic tumor cells to radiotherapy. On the other hand, some studies have shown that gold nanomaterials improve radiation sensitivity.

A survival analysis was performed and prognostic factors were analyzed using the Kaplan-Meier method, the Cox proportional hazards regression model, and the log-rank test.

Case Summary: We describe a rare patient with a collision tumor consisting of neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinus. She received operation, concurrent chemoradiotherapy, and then two cycles of palliative chemotherapy.
Cisplatin is the most commonly used chemotherapeutic drug for nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), while its side effects are often intolerable. Lobaplatin, as an effective third-generation platinum with fewer adverse reactions and less platinum cross-resistance, has been considered as a good alternative to cisplatin after cisplatin's failure (relapse or metastasis) in the treatment of NPC. However, the anti-NPC mechanism of lobaplatin remains largely unknown.

Despite that complete (R0) resection is recommend as the first-line treatment, multidisciplinary approach including chemotherapy and radiotherapy should be considered for patients who lost the operation chance or received incomplete resection. Here, we present a case who received concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) after cytoreductive surgery.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is considered as potential therapeutic drugs in NPC. However, the effect of Glycyrrhiza glabra on NPC is limited.

The expression of HIF-1α and CAIX proteins was detected by immunohistochemical staining in 129 samples of NPC and 20 samples of chronic nasopharyngitis. The correlations between the expression of these two proteins and clinicopathological features and prognosis were evaluated in NPC patients.
