- Several studies suggest that elevating the torso and head (the ramped position) usually improves the view during laryngoscopy.
- In some cases, however, the ramped position does not provide adequate laryngeal visualization.
- By incorporating head rotation in 62 patients when the ramped position failed, we were able to significantly enhance the laryngeal view without causing any postoperative complications.
