Objective The association of primary aldosteronism (PA) with thyroid disease has already been suggested. The aim of this study was to examine the presence of PA in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PC) and to characterize such PC patients with PA. Methods We examined the presence of PA in 81 consecutive patients with PC, whose random sitting blood pressure (BP) was ≥140/90 mmHg in the office (n= 68), who had an incidental adrenal tumor or adrenal enlargement (n=9), or who showed hypokalemia (n=4).

An anterior mediastinal mass detected on a chest computed tomographic scan was found on resection to be a noninvasive lymphocytic thymoma. The PNNS went into remission 1 year after the thymectomy.

The patella-patellar tendon-tibia complex from 35 pig knees was dissected. The relationship between the impedance of the patellar tendon and the traction stress loaded on the patellar tendon, and the repeatability of stress-impedance curves was examined in 15 knees.
