An exploratory study of drug concentration and inhibitory effect of cetylpyridinium chloride buccal tablets on SARS-CoV-2 infection among 10 Chinese subjects.

Background: It was evidenced that cetylpyridinium-chloride (CPC) mouthwash could inhibit SARS-COV-2 activity and reduce salivary viral load, thus reducing SARS-CoV-2 transmission. However, due to insufficient residence time in the oral cavity, CPC-containing mouthwashes have no prolonged antiviral effect. The duration of action of the CPC buccal tablet is expected to be longer than that of the mouthwash.

Dual catalysis for the redox annulation of nitroalkynes with indoles: enantioselective construction of indolin-3-ones bearing quaternary stereocenters.

The enantioselective redox annulation of nitroalkynes with indoles is enabled by gold/chiral phosphoric acid dual catalysis. A range of indolin-3-one derivatives bearing quaternary stereocenters at the C2 position were afforded in good yields and excellent enantioselectivities (up to 96 % ee) from readily available starting materials.

Au-catalyzed ring-opening reactions of 2-(1-alkynyl-cyclopropyl)pyridines with nucleophiles.

A novel method for the C-C bond cleavage of cyclopropanes was developed by gold-catalyzed cycloisomerization of 2-(1-alkynyl-cyclopropyl)pyridine with nucleophiles, which provides efficient access to structurally diverse indolizines under mild conditions. A series of N-, C- and O-based nucleophiles were involved in this reaction to afford the corresponding indolizines in modest to excellent yields.
