Purpose To introduce a digital workflow for the prediction of facial aesthetics, especially in patients with dentation deformity caused by maxillofacial trauma. Methods Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) and three-dimensional facial scans of patients with radiographic prostheses were collected. The aforementioned data were uploaded to ProPlan CMF software and merged to generate a virtual patient with craniofacial hard tissue, realistic facial soft tissue, and remaining dentition.

The paper introduces professor -'s experience in treatment with acupuncture-moxibustion at "Dayingxiang". Based on the application of Neiyingxiang (internal LI 20), professor defines the entire nasal cavity and its adjacent nasopharynx as "Dayingxiang", of which, "Neiyingxiang" and "Biyandian" (nasopharynx point) are commonly stimulated with acupuncture-moxibustion. "Dayingxiang" may regulate lung and promote the circulation of the marrow sea in treatment of the disorders of lung system and the marrow.

The oral cavity and the intestine are the main distribution locations of human digestive bacteria. Exploring the relationships between the tongue coating and gut microbiota, the influence of the diurnal variations of the tongue coating microbiota on the intestinal microbiota can provide a reference for the development of the disease diagnosis and monitoring, as well as the medication time. In this work, a total of 39 healthy college students were recruited.

Methods: The Tongue and Face Diagnosis Analysis-1 instrument and Pulse Diagnosis Analysis-1 instrument were used to collect the tongue image and sphygmogram of the subhealth fatigue population ( = 252) and disease fatigue population ( = 1160), and we mainly analyzed the tongue and pulse characteristics and constructed the classification model by using the logistic regression method.

Results: The results showed that subhealth fatigue people and disease fatigue people had different characteristics of tongue and pulse, and the logistic regression model based on tongue and pulse data had a good classification effect. The accuracies of models of healthy controls and subhealth fatigue, subhealth fatigue and disease fatigue, and healthy controls and disease fatigue were 68.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study focuses on improving pulse diagnosis by using advanced sensor arrays that can capture multiple pulse parameters, unlike traditional single-pulse diagnostic tools that have limited data capability.
  • - The researchers developed methods to analyze these pulse wave signals, specifically applying these techniques in patients with hypertensive disorders by comparing the average pulse waves (APW) and their representative features across different subjects.
  • - Clinical trials revealed significant differences in various pulse parameters between healthy individuals and those with hypertension, indicating the potential for this technology in assessing and diagnosing hypertensive conditions.

China's immunization programme is relatively strong, with latest WHO-UNICEF monitoring rates for 2019 showing national vaccination coverage over 90%. However, vaccination coverage is heterogeneous, varying across geographic regions, rural-urban communities, and sub-populations. We conducted a qualitative study from a critical realist perspective, analyzing semi-structured interviews with 26 vaccination providers in three provinces, selected to represent regional socioeconomic disparities across Eastern, Central, and Western China.

The paper summarizes professor -'s clinical experience in staging treatment for post-stroke dysphagia. Professor - adheres to "essence and marrow deficiency and primary decline" as the pathogenesis and "conducting from " as the treating principle. By regulating the conception vessel and the governor vessel and focusing on meridians, in association with meridian differentiation and the location differentiation, professor provides the staging treatment for post-stroke dysphagia.

To summarize 's experience for treating press ulcer with fire-moxibustion. Through syndrome differentiation and examined factors, believes that the disease is caused by deficiency and blood stasis, and advocates that the treatment should be weighed against deficiency and excess, and selection by stages. The cotton-moxibustion is used to diffusing and obstruction-removing and blood duingⅠstage of press ulcer.

Objective: To explore the data characteristics of tongue and pulse of non-small-cell lung cancer with Qi deficiency syndrome and Yin deficiency syndrome, establish syndrome classification model based on data of tongue and pulse by using machine learning methods, and evaluate the feasibility of syndrome classification based on data of tongue and pulse.

Methods: We collected tongue and pulse of non-small-cell lung cancer patients with Qi deficiency syndrome ( = 163), patients with Yin deficiency syndrome ( = 174), and healthy controls ( = 185) using intelligent tongue diagnosis analysis instrument and pulse diagnosis analysis instrument, respectively. We described the characteristics and examined the correlation of data of tongue and pulse.

Overproduction of pro‑inflammatory cytokines in the aged, which is called inflammaging, leads to the deterioration of periodontitis. Toll‑like receptor 4 (TLR4) plays a role in the regulation of cellular senescence, and its expression increases with age. However, there has been limited research into the molecular mechanisms underlying the onset of periodontal inflammaging, and the interplay between TLR4 and inflammaging.

Article Synopsis
  • Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) shows increased levels of long noncoding RNA SBF2-AS1, which is associated with poor patient prognosis and plays a role in tumor progression. * Overexpressing SBF2-AS1 enhances cell growth and prevents apoptosis in PTC, while reducing its levels leads to decreased cell viability and increased cell death. * SBF2-AS1 interacts with the microRNA miR-431-5p and influences cyclin-dependent kinase 14 (CDK14) activity, suggesting that targeting SBF2-AS1 could be a potential therapy for PTC.

Surfactants can improve the hydrophobicity of poorly water-soluble drugs and increase the stability of microparticles by reducing surface tension. This study describes that surfactant-engineered florfenicol instant microparticles (FIMs) increase bioavailability through a micellar solubilization mechanism. The FIMs were prepared by a modified emulsification method, and the optimal prescription was obtained by a combination of single factor investigation and response surface methodology.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common clinical syndrome with high morbidity and mortality, which is mostly caused by acute tubular necrosis (ATN). AKI is associated with many factors, including cell senescence, inflammatory infiltration, apoptosis and excessive accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). P16 (hereafter termed p16) inhibits cell cycle, and the absence of can significantly slow the progression of cell senescence.
