Metabolic fitness of T cells is essential for their vitality, which is largely dependent on the behavior of the mitochondria. The nature of mitochondrial behavior in tumor-infiltrating T cells remains poorly understood. In this study, we show that mitofusin-2 (MFN2) expression is positively correlated with the prognosis of multiple cancers.

Regulating Magnetic Relaxations of Cyano-Bridged {Dy Mo } Systems by Tuning the N-Sites in β-Diketone Ligands.

Cyano-bridged 4d-4f molecular nanomagnets have re-called increasing research interests in molecular magnetism since they offer more possibilities in achieving novel nanomagnets with versatile structures and magnetic interactions. In this work, four β-diketone ligands bearing different substitution N-sites were designed and synthesized, namely 1-(2-pyridyl)-3-(3-pyridyl)-1,3-propanedione (HL ), 1,3-Bis (3-pyridyl)-1,3-propanedione (HL ), 1-(4-pyridyl)-3-(3-pyridyl)-1,3-propanedione (HL ), and 1,3-Bis (4-pyridyl)-1,3-propanedione (HL ), to tune the magnetic relaxation behaviors of cyano-bridged {Dy Mo } systems. By reacting with DyCl  ⋅ 6H O and K Mo(CN)  ⋅ 2H O, four cyano-bridged complexes, namely {[Dy[Mo (CN) ](HL ) (H O) ]} ⋅ 6H O (1), {[Dy[Mo (CN) ](HL )(H O) (CH OH)]}  ⋅ 2CH OH ⋅ 3H O (2), {[Dy[Mo (CN) ](HL )(H O) (CH OH)] ⋅ H O} (3), and {[Dy[Mo (CN) ](HL ) (H O) ]} ⋅ 2H O⋅CH OH (4) were obtained.

Investigating spin crossover (SCO)-fluorescence bifunctional materials and establishing their structure-function relationships are attractive topics in chemistry and materials science. However, it remains challenging to preserve the fluorescence and SCO properties simultaneously in aggregated solid states. Herein, we design an ()-2,6-bis(1-pyrazol-1-yl)-4-(4-(1,2,2-triphenylvinyl)styryl)pyridine (tpe-bpp) ligand, which contains coordinated SCO and fluorescence units of an aggregation-induced emission luminogen (AIEgen).

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a major cause of cancer-related deaths. We have previously connected a non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan, hyaluronic acid (HA), with a common hydrogen sulfide (HS) donor, 5-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3H-1,2-dithiol-3-thione (ADT-OH), to reconstruct a novel conjugate, HA-ADT. In this study, we determined the effect of HA-ADT on the growth of ESCC.

Spin-Crossover Tuned Rotation of Pyrazolyl Rings in a 2D Iron(II) Complex towards Synergetic Magnetic and Dielectric Transitions.

Materials showing synergy of magnetic and dielectric transitions are promising candidates for future molecular devices. The challenge is how to realize synergy between spin and dielectric transitions with responses to external stimuli. Herein, we design a 2D spin crossover (SCO) complex, [Fe (dpa)][(pzTp)Fe (CN) ] (1) (dpa=1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethyne and pzTp=tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate).

Background: Multiple myeloma (MM) is a hematologic malignancy characterized by the accumulation of aberrant plasma cells within the bone marrow. The high frequent mutation of family with sequence similarity 46, member C (FAM46C) is closely related with the occurrence and progression of MM. Recently, FAM46C has been identified as a non-canonical poly(A) polymerase (PAP) that functions as a tumor suppressor in MM.

Rational synthesis of an ultra-stable Zn(ii) coordination polymer based on a new tripodal pyrazole ligand for the highly sensitive and selective detection of Fe and CrO in aqueous media.

A mixed-ligand strategy has been used to construct stable luminescent coordination polymers (CPs). An ultra-stable Zn(ii) coordination polymer, [Zn(H3tpb)(Hbtc)]n (1) was hydrothermally synthesized by employing a new tripodal pyrazole ligand H3tpb and a classical carboxylic ligand H3btc (H3tpb = 1,3,5-tris(pyrazolyl)benzene, H3btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid). Complex 1 exhibits a 2D sql network.

A water-stable La-MOF with high fluorescence sensing and supercapacitive performances.

A 3D lanthanide coordination polymer {[La(SIP)(HO)]·HO} (La-MOF) was synthesized successfully by the solvothermal reaction of La(NO)·6HO and 5-sulfoisophthalic acid monosodium salt (NaHSIP). In particular, two oxygen atoms of sulfate participate in the coordination, which is unusual in all the complexes. La-MOF was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction, thermal-gravimetric analysis, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.

A Flexible and Stable Interpenetrated Indium Pyridylcarboxylate Framework with Breathing Behaviors and Highly Selective Adsorption of Cationic Dyes.

An interpenetrated indium pyridylcarboxylate framework, [NH(CH)][In(L)]·2.5DMF·5HO (1), has been synthesized by employing a pyridylcarboxylate ligand, 4-(3-carboxylphenyl)picolinic acid (HL), and an In ion, with both chemical stability and framework flexibility. The desolvated 1 exhibits an uncommon breathing sorption behavior and shows highly selective adsorption for CH, CH, and CO over CH.

Stable Indium-Pyridylcarboxylate Framework: Selective Gas Capture and Sensing of Fe Ion in Water.

By employing a pyridyl-decorated dicarboxylic acid ligand, 3-(2',5'-dicarboxylphenyl)pyridine acid (Hdcpy), a three-dimensional In-based metal-organic framework, HO[In(dcpy)(OH)]·3DMF·4HO (1), with a good chemical stability toward acid and base has been synthesized. The compound 1 shows an uncommon (3,8)-connected tfz-d; UO topological net based on linear In(COO)(OH) clusters and also contains one-dimensional open channels. Particularly, 1 contains two types of dcpy linkers, in which the pyridyl group in one participates in coordination with the In ion, whereas that in the other is uncoordinated but hangs in the inner sides of the channels as functionalized sites.

[Association between serum nitric oxide level and microalbuminuria: a 1:2 matched case-control study].

Objective: To investigate the association between serum nitric oxide and microalbuminuria.

Methods: Based on a community survey in Jinchang district Suzhou city, a 1:2 matched case-control study was performed. A total of 208 cases with microalbuminuria were recruited.

[Association between serum nitric oxide and hypertension among 1453 women in Suzhou].

Objective: To investigate the association between serum nitric oxide (NO) and hypertension among women in Suzhou.

Methods: Blood pressure, height, weight and waist circumference (WC) were measured and factors including smoking, alcohol intake, family history of hypertension were investigated and blood glucose, blood lipid, serum NO were tested among 1453 women aged ≥ 30 years who lived in Jinchang district of Suzhou. Association between serum NO and hypertension was analyzed by univariate and multivariate methods.
