- The dredger construction environment is difficult, often leading to damage of mud concentration meters; therefore, it's important to develop a low-cost, easy-to-use emergency solution.
- A new data-driven soft sensor method is proposed that can predict mud concentration in real-time, helping to overcome malfunctions of current meters and extending their lifespan.
- Applied to two real construction cases, the stacking generalization (SG) model effectively predicted mud concentration with high goodness of fit values of 0.9774 and 0.9919.
