Background: Investigating oncogenes and the mechanisms driving oncogenic processes in human tumors is imperative for the development of efficient therapies. Peroxidasin (PXDN) has been reported to play a critical role in tissue development and homeostasis. However, the role of PXDN in the occurrence and development of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) remains unknown.

Methods: Nighty-two consecutive boys who underwent either one-stage or staged TPIF urethroplasty for the repair of proximal hypospadias with moderate-to-severe chordee between August 2015 and December 2019 were evaluated retrospectively. Patients were divided into two groups: one-stage TPIF urethroplasty group (n = 44) and staged TPIF urethroplasty group (n = 48).
Metabolic reprogramming plays important roles in development and progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), but the underlying mechanism has not been completely defined. In this work, we found INSL5 was elevated in NPC tumor tissue and the plasma of NPC patients. Plasma INSL5 could serve as a novel diagnostic marker for NPC, especially for serum VCA-IgA-negative patients.

In Figure 7f the panel for c-myc of MDA-MB-468 was erroneously duplicated. The corrected version of the figure is shown in this paper. This correction does not influence the conclusion of the study and we sincerely apologize for this oversight.

Materials And Methods: One hundred seventy-four plasma cytokines were analyzed by a Cytokine Array in eight healthy individuals with positive EBV VCA-IgA and eight patients with NPC. Real-time polymerase chain reaction, Western blotting, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), and immunohistochemistry were employed to detect the expression levels of macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) and CC chemokine ligand 3 (CCL3) in NPC cell lines and tumor tissues.
The sodium pump Na/K ATPase a1 subunit(NKA a1), an attractive cancer-related biomarker and therapeutic target, is closely related to the development and progression of several cancers including breast cancer. Currently, a NKA a1 inhibitor, UNBS1450, has already evidenced its great therapeutic potential in personalized cancer treatment. The ability of non-invasive imaging of NKA a1 expression would be useful for selecting cancer patients who may benefit from this drug.

In 2011, it was reported that newly synthesized 2,5-dimethylpyrrolyl benzoic acid lacked the previously reported EphA2 antagonizing activity1. However, the purchased compound did in fact have the activity initially reported, suggesting that an uncharacterized alteration occurred during storage.

Tumors from patients with poor prognosis may differentially express specific genes. Therefore, an analysis of The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database was performed and revealed that cytokine receptor-like factor 1 (CRLF1) may be a potential novel target for PTC treatment.

EBV infects both B cells and epithelial cells . Recently, we reported that epidermal growth factor and Neuropilin 1 markedly enhanced EBV entry into nasopharyngeal epithelial cells .

CST1 has been recently considered to be involved in the development of several human cancers. However, the prognostic significance and function of CST1 in breast cancer remains unknown.
