Objectives: To understand the epidemic characteristics of various SARS-CoV-2 variants, we mainly focus on analyzing general epidemic profiles, viral mutation, and evolution of COVID-19 outbreaks caused by different SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOCs) in China as of August 2022.

Methods: We systematically sorted out the general epidemic profiles of outbreaks caused by various SARS-CoV-2 VOCs in China, compared the differences of outbreaks caused by Delta and Omicron VOCs, and analyzed the mutational changes of subvariants between the same outbreak and different outbreaks.

Findings: By 15 August 2022, a total of 2, 33, and 124 COVID-19 outbreaks caused by Alpha, Delta, and Omicron VOCs, respectively, were reported in different regions of China.

Objective: To analyze the relationship between Chemokine IP10 and its receptor CXCR3 during prion infection.

Methods: We investigated the increases in IP10 signals, primarily localized in neurons within the brains of scrapie-infected mice, using western blotting, ELISA, co-immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence assays, and RT-PCR.

We report the first lattice QCD computation of pion and kaon electromagnetic form factors, F_{M}(Q^{2}), at large momentum transfer up to 10 and 28  GeV^{2}, respectively. Utilizing physical masses and two fine lattices, we achieve good agreement with JLab experimental results at Q^{2}≲4  GeV^{2}. For Q^{2}≳4  GeV^{2}, our results provide ab initio QCD benchmarks for the forthcoming experiments at JLab 12 GeV and future electron-ion colliders.

Research on degenerative spondylolisthesis (DS) has focused primarily on the biomechanical responses of pathological segments, with few studies involving muscle modelling in simulated analysis, leading to an emphasis on the back muscles in physical therapy, neglecting the ventral muscles. The purpose of this study was to quantitatively analyse the biomechanical response of the spinopelvic complex and surrounding muscle groups in DS patients using integrative modelling. Four undescribed butanolides, linderangolides A-D (1-4), along with four known congeners, lincomolide A (5), (-)-epilitsenolide C2 (6), (-)-epilitsenolide C1 (7) and litseakolide H (8), were isolated from the roots of Lindera angustifolia. The planar structures of 1-4 were elucidated based on extensive spectroscopic analyses, the relative and absolute configurations of 1-4 were determined by the NOESY spectra and the comparison of calculated and experimental ECD. Few studies have reported on the continuous evolution of dual-linker zeolitic imidazolate frameworks' (ZIFs) structure and morphology during the crystal growth process. Herein, we report the synthesis of a novel ZIF material with CHA topology (ZIF-301-eIm) via the combination of a small-sized 2-ethylimidazole (eIm) with the large-sized 5-chlorobenzimidazole ligand.
