Article Synopsis
  • Cutaneous endometriosis is a rare condition where endometrial tissue grows outside the uterus, often in surgical scars, causing pain and other symptoms, primarily during menstruation.
  • Most cases develop after obstetrical and gynecological surgeries, like cesarean sections, where endometrial tissue can be implanted directly into the incision site.
  • Diagnosis typically involves histopathological examination, and treatment usually requires wide excision to prevent recurrence, highlighting the importance of recognizing symptoms early for effective management.
