Purpose: Psoriasis vulgaris, one of the most prevalent chronic inflammatory skin diseases, is associated with metabolic syndrome (MetS). Autophagy, an intracellular degradation system is essential for cell survival and differentiation, and its dysfunction may contribute to metabolic diseases.
