Majority of macrozooplankton have a wider dietary niche breadth and utilize small invertebrates, microzooplankton and mesozooplankton, so effect on primary production might be through trophic cascading effect. To better understand the ecosystem structure of benthic oyster-macroalgae reefs, we analyzed zooplankton community structure before (July 2016) and after (from September 2016 to October 2017) the construction of benthic reefs in the 2 km2 sea ranch area in Xiangyun Cove, Tangshan, China. We identified 57 zooplankton species, including the 12 cnidarian (e.

Here, we explored a new manufacturing strategy that uses the mask laser interference additive manufacturing (MLIAM) technique, which combines the respective strengths of laser interference lithography and mask lithography to efficiently fabricate across-scales three-dimensional bionic shark skin structures with superhydrophobicity and adhesive reduction. The phenomena and mechanisms of the MLIAM curing process were revealed and analyzed, showing the feasibility and flexibility. In terms of structural performance, the adhesive force on the surface can be tuned based on the growth direction of the bionic shark skin structures, where the maximum rate of the adhesive reduction reaches about 65%.

An increasing amount of research has shown that glycosylation plays a crucial role in autoimmune diseases (ADs), prompting our interest in conducting research on the knowledge framework and hot topics in this field based on bibliometric analysis. Studies on glycosylation in the field of ADs from 2003 to 2023 were collected by searching the Web of Science Core Collection database. Bibliometric analysis was conducted using VOSviewer, CiteSpace, and Bibliometrix software.

Background: Technetium [99Tc] methylene diphosphonate injection (99Tc-MDP) is widely used for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but there is still insufficient evidence for its application. Through the utilization of meta-analysis and systematic reviews, this study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of 99 TC-MDP in combination with conventional synthetic disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (csDMARDs) for RA.

Methods: This study was registered on PROSPERO in advance (CRD42021220780).

Offline reinforcement learning (RL) optimizes the policy on a previously collected dataset without any interactions with the environment, yet usually suffers from the distributional shift problem. To mitigate this issue, a typical solution is to impose a policy constraint on a policy improvement objective. However, existing methods generally adopt a "one-size-fits-all" practice, i.

Ultrathin broadband absorber maintaining a near-uniform low reflectivity over a broadband wavelength is essential for many optical applications, such as light harvesting and nanoscale imaging. Recently, there has been considerable interest in employing arrays of high-index dielectric Mie resonators on surfaces to trap light and reduce the reflectivity. For such Mie-resonant metasurfaces, however, antireflection properties featuring both a flat low reflectance curve and a wide bandwidth are hard to be satisfied simultaneously, and an efficient large-scale nanofabrication technique rarely exists.

The micro-stripe structure was prepared by laser interference induced forward transfer technique, composed of Ag nano-particles (NPs). The effects of the film thickness with the carbon nano-particles mixed polyimide (CNPs@PI), Ag film thickness, and laser fluence were studied on the transferred micro-stripe structure. The periodic Ag micro-stripe with good resolution was obtained in a wide range of CNPs@PI film thickness from ∼0.

Control of lipid digestibility by various food components has received great attention in recent decades. However, there is limited literature on investigating the synergistic effect of exogenous emulsifiers and endogenous sodium cholate (SC) on lipid digestion in a simulated physiological crowded medium. In this work, the synergistic interaction of Tween80 and SC according to the regular solution theory, and the hydrolysis of lipid emulsions containing tricaprylin, glyceryltrioleate or soybean oil in crowding medium was studied.

Fatty acids (FAs) are transported by serum albumin in plasma. Studies have been undertaken to address the binding of MCFAs or LCFAs to human plasma albumin (HPA) and bovine serum albumin (BSA) by characterizing the binding affinities. Previous research on FA binding to serum albumin was usually performed in dilute solutions that are not sufficiently concentrated for the interpretation of the significance of the results under normal physiological conditions.

A sensitive, precise and selective ultra-high performance liquid chromatography method coupled with triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry was developed and validated for the determination of trace amounts of sinomenine (ng/mL) in minute volumes of human plasma. Fifty microliter plasma samples were precipitated using methanol to extract sinomenine. Separation was carried out on a C18 column with a water and acetonitrile mobile phase gradient with formic acid as an additive.
