Article Synopsis
  • - The study examines the immediate effects of Kinesiology Taping (KT) on muscle strength, balance, and proprioception after ankle fatigue in 20 healthy male university students, comparing it to no taping, sham taping, and athletic taping conditions.
  • - Results showed KT significantly improved muscle strength (both plantarflexion and dorsiflexion) compared to no taping and sham taping, along with better proprioception and static balance outcomes than the other interventions.
  • - The study indicates that KT may be beneficial in enhancing recovery and performance following exercise-induced muscle fatigue, as evidenced by improved torque and proprioception metrics.

Background: Regular exercise has been shown to have a beneficial effect on primary osteoporosis (POP). However, current exercise prescriptions have limitations such as insufficient individualized features and low participant compliance, which in turn limit their application in clinical practice. In this study, we propose to establish a personalized exercise prescription based on the Chinese traditional exercise-Yi Jin Jing, combined with treadmill exercises and strength training, and then observe its effects on pain, muscle strength, balance, bone mineral density (BMD) and bone metabolic indexes in patients with POP.
