High temperature and hypoxia in water due to global warming threaten the growth and development of aquatic animals. In natural or cultured environments, stress usually does not occur independently, whereas the synergistic effect of high temperature and hypoxia on Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis) are rarely reported. In this study, 450 juvenile crabs were equally divided into control group (24 °C ± 0.

Motivated by unique topological semimetals in condensed matter physics, we propose an effective Hamiltonian with four degrees of freedom to describe evolutions of photonic double Weyl nodal line semimetals in one-dimensional hyper-crystals, which supports the energy bands translating or rotating independently in the form of Weyl quasiparticles. Especially, owing to the unit cells without inversion symmetry, a pair of reflection-phase singularities carrying opposite topological charges emerge near each nodal line, and result in a unique bilateral drumhead surface state. After reducing radiation leakages and absorption losses, these two singularities gather together gradually, and form a quasi-bound state in the continuum (quasi-BIC) ring at the nodal line ultimately.

The present pavement health monitoring is limited by a professional staff patrol. Herein, a vehicle-mounted pavement health monitoring system (VPHMS) based on a spring-guide-assisted triboelectric sensor (S-TES) is proposed, which uses the vibration generated by vehicles passing through uneven pavements to monitor the pavement damage. The VPHMS consists of S-TES, the integration module, and the terminal display module.

Triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) is a promising technology for harvesting energy from various sources, such as human motion, wind and vibration. At the same time, a matching backend management circuit is essential to improve the energy utilization efficiency of TENG. Therefore, this work proposes a power regulation circuit (PRC) suitable for TENG, which is composed of a valley-filling circuit and a switching step-down circuit.

Photonic bandgap design is one of the most basic ways to effectively control the interaction between light and matter. However, the traditional photonic bandgap is always dispersive (blueshift with the increase of the incident angle), which is disadvantageous to the construction of wide-angle optical devices. Hypercrystal, the photonic crystal with layered hyperbolic metamaterials (HMMs), can strongly modify the bandgap properties based on the anomalous wavevector dispersion of the HMM.

Mass production of defect-free and large-lateral-size 2D materials via cost-effective methods is very important. Recently, shear exfoliation has shown great promise for large-scale production due to its simple operation, environmental-benignity and wide adaptability. However, a long-standing challenge is that with the production of more nanosheets, a ceiling yield and shattered products are encountered, which significantly limits their wider application.

The slow kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) causes high power consumption for electrochemical water splitting. Various strategies have been attempted to accelerate the OER rate, but there are few studies on regulating the transport of reactants especially under large current densities when the mass transfer factor dominates the evolution reactions. Herein, Ni Fe alloy nanocones arrays (with ≈2 nm surface NiO/NiFe(OH) layer) are adopted to boost the transport of reactants.

A ternary system thermoresponsive hydrogel, poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-hydroxyethyl methylacrylate polycaprolactone)/hydroxypropyl cellulose (or P(NIPAAm-co-HEMAPCL)/HPC), was prepared via "alkynyl/azide" click chemistry between the azide modified graft copolymer P(NIPAAm-co-HEMAPCL-N3) and the alkynyl modified HPC (or alkynyl-HPC). The structures of P(NIPAAm-co-HEMAPCL-N3) and alkynyl-HPC were characterized by (1)H NMR, SEC and FT-IR, and the results demonstrated that the mole ratio of the alkynyl and azide functional groups, and the feed ratios of HPC, PCL, and PNIPAAm could be easily adjusted. The incorporation of PCL and HPC dramatically enhanced the compression modulus of the P(NIPAAm-co-HEMAPCL)/HPC hydrogel, which ranged from 500 to 1000 g/cm(2).

Osteoporotic fractures commonly occur in the elderly. Current studies regarding cell proliferation and apoptosis during osteoporotic fracture healing are limited. In this study, we established an osteoporotic fracture healing model.
