According to cancer statistics reported in 2020, breast cancer constitutes 30% of new cancer cases diagnosed in American women. Histological markers of breast cancer are expressions of the estrogen receptor (ER), the progesterone receptor (PR), and human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER)-2. Up to 80% of breast cancers are grouped as ER-positive, which implies a crucial role for estrogen in breast cancer development.

It has been shown that the microstructural origin of the double yield points is highly related to the initial orientation of the original precursor film. For less oriented mLLDPE precursor films, the rearrangement of lamellae and the appearance of the monoclinic phase are the microstructural origins of the first yield point.
