Tangerine peel is a traditional Chinese herb and has been widely applied in foods and medicine for its multiple pharmacological effects. Erythropoietin receptor (EPOR), a member of the cytokine receptor family, is widely expressed in multiple tissues in especial kidney and plays protective effects in adverse physiological and pathological conditions. We hypothesized that it might be EPOR agonists existing in Tangerine peel bring such renal benefits.

Yet, engineering the conductive adhesives with robust and tunable interfacial bonding strength is still in its infancy stage. We herein identify a structurally novel supramolecular polymer scaffold, characterized by synergistic coexistence of hydrogen-bonding (H-bonding) interactions and electrostatic ionic junctions, endowing the robust and tunable elastic conducting adhesives with remarkable thermal/electro-responsive performance.

Herein, we first used a novel reactive phosphine oxide containing tertiary amines as crosslinker to prepare water-insoluble crosslinked β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) adsorbent via radical-mediated thiol-ene polymerization. Owing to the synergistic hydrogen-bond (H-bond) interactions of functional groups (tertiary amine and PO groups) toward BPA, the resulted adsorbents showed fast adsorption kinetics to BPA with an adsorption equilibrium time of 5 min.

However, the MMC stationary phases (MMSP) prepared by chemical immobilization are prone to nonspecific binding in candidate agent screening inevitably. To address these challenges, Twin Strep-Tag/Strep Tactin was employed to establish a specific affinity system in the present study.

It holds promise as a target for regulating allergic and inflammatory diseases mediated by mast cells. Polygonum cuspidatum (PC) has shown notable anti-anaphylactoid effects, while its pharmacologically active components remain unclear.

Carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1A (CPT1A), which resides on the mitochondrial outer membrane, serves as the rate-limiting enzyme of fatty acid β-oxidation. Identifying the compounds targeting CPT1A warrants a promising candidate for modulating lipid metabolism. In this study, we developed a CPT1A-overexpressed mitochondrial membrane chromatography (MMC) to screen the compounds with affinity for CPT1A.

The pathogenesis of this disease is related to mutations in tyrosine kinase (KIT) or platelet-derived growth factor receptor α, an important target for drug therapy. In recent years, the screening of relevant tyrosine kinase inhibitors from traditional Chinese medicine has become a hotspot in antitumor drug research.

CMC relies on the maintenance of the complete biological structure of a membrane receptor; however, it needs to be further improved to obtain a more convenient and stable CMC model. In the present study, the haloalkane dehalogenase protein tag (HALO-tag) technology was used to construct a new MrgX2/CMC model.

The SEM test shows that the nano-Ti particles are uniformly distributed at the grain boundary under the extruded state, which nails the grain boundary, inhibits the grain growth, and significantly refines the grain. XRD tests show that the addition of nano-Ti particles increases the crystallinity of the composite, which is consistent with the SEM test results.

Mitochondrial dysfunction plays a key role in the development of heart failure, but targeted therapeutic interventions remain elusive. Previous studies have shown coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) insufficiency in patients with heart disease with undefined mechanism and modest effectiveness of CoQ10 supplement therapy. Using 2 transgenic mouse models of cardiomyopathy owing to cardiac overexpression of Mst1 (Mst1-TG) or β 2 -adrenoceptor (β 2 AR-TG), we studied changes in cardiac CoQ10 content and alterations in CoQ10 biosynthesis genes.

Traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) are widely used in the treatment of cancer.
