This study examined the lipidomics of to better investigate the biological characteristics of clinical isolates of . The strains NX114 and PG45, cultivated to log-phase, underwent untargeted lipidomics via ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry for differential analysis.

is a global problem for the cattle industry due to its high infection rates and associated morbidity, although its pathophysiology is poorly understood. In this study, the transcriptome and proteome were analyzed to further investigate the biology of clinical isolates of . A differential analysis of , a clinical isolate (NX114), and an international type strain (PG45) at the logarithmic stage of growth, was carried out using prokaryotic transcriptome and 4D-label-free quantitative non-labeled proteomics.

Background: Penicillium oxalicum is an important fungal agent in the composting of cattle manure, but the changes that occur in the microbial community, physicochemical factors, and potential functions of microorganisms at different time points are still unclear. To this end, the dynamic changes occurring in the microbial community and physicochemical factors and their correlations during the composting of cattle manure with Penicillium oxalicum were analysed.

Results: The results showed that the main phyla observed throughout the study period were Firmicutes, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes, Halanaerobiaeota, Apicomplexa and Ascomycota.

Background: In China, the prevalence of hypertension is high and the use of combination antihypertensive therapy is low, which contributes to inadequate blood pressure (BP) control. The availability of simplified treatments combining complementary BP-lowering agents may help more patients achieve their goals.

Methods: This Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, noninferiority study included Chinese adults with mild-to-moderate hypertension.

At least 12 months of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is 1 of the standards of care following percutaneous coronary intervention in patients with acute coronary syndrome. However, study on prolonged DAPT for patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) without revascularization is limited. We studied 1,744 patients with AMI without revascularization from the China Acute Myocardial Infarction registry between January 2013 and September 2014.

Mitochondrial dysfunction plays a critical role in the development and exacerbation of heart failure (HF). Dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1), a key regulator of mitochondrial fission, influences cardiac energy metabolism. The present study investigated the relationship between serum Drp1 levels and the prognosis of patients with HF across a broad spectrum.

Objective: To explore the safety and assess the cardiovascular impact of early in-hospital administration of PCSK9 inhibitors in patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS).

Methods: A systematic search of PubMed, Web of Science, and Embase databases was conducted for studies involving the use of PCSK9 inhibitors in ACS patients from inception to October 2023. Two independent researchers screened the literature, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias in the included studies.

is a significant cause of respiratory disease and synovitis among chickens, and has an adverse economic impact on broiler breeding efforts. The present study was designed to develop a systematic understanding of the role that lipid-associated membrane proteins (LAMPs) may play in the virulence of this pathogen. Bioinformatics tools were used to identify 146 predicted membrane proteins and lipoproteins in the proteome.

is a global concern for the cattle industry owing to its high rates of infection and resulting morbidity, but its pathogenesis remains poorly understood. Metabolic pathways and characteristics of clinical strain were elucidated by comparing the differential expression of metabolites between clinical strain NX114 and international reference strain PG45. Metabolites of in the logarithmic stage were analyzed based on the non-targeted metabolomic technology of ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS).

Importance: Tongxinluo, a traditional Chinese medicine compound, has shown promise in in vitro, animal, and small human studies for myocardial infarction, but has not been rigorously evaluated in large randomized clinical trials.

Objective: To investigate whether Tongxinluo could improve clinical outcomes in patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).

Design, Setting, And Participants: Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial was conducted among patients with STEMI within 24 hours of symptom onset from 124 hospitals in China.

Background: This study aimed to systematically review the evidence of drug-coated balloon used in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction and compared with using drug-eluting stent in terms of clinical and angiographic outcomes for a relatively long follow-up period.

Methods: Electronic databases including PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library were used to search for the information of each study. A total of 8 studies involving 1310 patients were included in this meta-analysis.

Background: The triglyceride glucose-body mass index (TyG-BMI index) has been considered a reliable surrogate measure of insulin resistance; however, its ability to predict the incidence of cardiovascular disease in individuals with coronary artery disease (CAD) remains uncertain. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the correlation between the TyG-BMI index and cardiovascular incidence.

Methods: A total of 2533 consecutive participants who underwent percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and drug-eluting stent (DES) implantation were included.

Background: There have been few studies published on the use of contrast media (CM) in metformin-treated patients. In this study, we conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to investigate the relationship between metformin and contrast-induced acute kidney injury (CI-AKI).

Methods: A comprehensive search of the Medline, PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases for literature on associations between metformin use and CI-AKI incidence was conducted.

What Is Known And Objective: It is well known that high in-stent thrombotic risk due to the superimposition of a platelet-rich thrombus was considered as the main origin of major adverse cardiac events after stent implantation. The clinical management of antiplatelet therapy strategy after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains controversial. This study is sought to explore the efficacy and safety of a maintained P2Y inhibitor monotherapy after shorter-duration of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in these patients.

Background: The past decade has witnessed an ever-increasing momentum of transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and a subsequent paradigm shift in the contemporary management of severe aortic stenosis (AS). We conducted a multi-centric TAVR registry based on Chinese patients (the China Aortic valve tRanscatheter Replacement registrY [CARRY]) to delineate the clinical characteristics and outcomes of Chinese patients who underwent TAVR and compare the results between different valve types in different Chinese regions.

Methods: CARRY is an all-comer registry of aortic valve disease patients undergoing TAVR across China and was designed as an observational study that retrospectively included all TAVR patients at each participating site.

Warfarin, along with aspirin and clopidogrel, has long been recommended for patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) who are undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention with a drug-eluting stent (PCI-DES). However, this triple therapy has been known to increase the risk of bleeding complications. Meanwhile, there is no evidence from prospective trials on the use of ticagrelor in a dual therapy.

  • Cryptococcal endocarditis is an uncommon condition typically linked to risk factors like heart disease, weakened immune systems, or drug use.
  • A unique case involved a 50-year-old Chinese man who developed this rare condition without any identifiable risk factors.
  • He was treated for infection following a month of fever, underwent valve replacement surgery, and received long-term antifungal treatment.

de Winter syndrome is a special equivalent of anterior ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) characterized by the absence of overt ST-elevation with upsloping ST-segment depression followed by tall symmetrical T-waves in the precordial leads, often associated with total occlusion of the proximal left anterior descending coronary artery. Herein we present a case of de Winter syndrome in a 63-year-old man, whose initial ECG showed no ST-segment elevation, but subsequent coronary angiography confirmed total occlusion of the proximal LAD coronary artery. The patient was successfully treated via mechanical reperfusion therapy and stenting through percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
