Background: Depression is a common psychological problem among the elderly. It undermines the elderly's quality of life and imposes a heavy economic burden on society and families. Depression in this group must be addressed, but effective intervention therapies remain absent in existing studies.

Regulating effect of baicalin on IKK/IKB/NF-kB signaling pathway and apoptosis-related proteins in rats with ulcerative colitis.

Objective: This study was aimed to explore effect of baicalin on IKK/IKB/NF-kB signaling pathway and apoptosis-related proteins in rats with ulcerative colitis (UC).

Methods: Histopathological observation and scores of colon tissue were performed in the UC rat model. IKK/IKB/NF-kB signaling pathway and apoptosis-related proteins were measured by Western blotting.

No direct correlation between rotavirus diarrhea and breast feeding: A meta-analysis.

Background: Some studies indicated that children with exclusive breast feeding had a reduction in the prevalence of rotavirus diarrhea, while some others held the opposite views. In this study, we aimed to systematically find the associations between rotavirus diarrhea and breast feeding.

Methods: A literature search up to June 2016 in electronic literature databases, including PubMed and Embase, was performed.
