[Associations between health-promoting lifestyle and suboptimal health status in Guangdong: a cross sectional study].

Objective: To investigate associations between health-promoting lifestyle and suboptimal health status (SHS) in the population of Guangdong province.

Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in a clustered sample of 24 159 individuals aged 12-80 years from 2012 to 2013. Health-promoting lifestyle was assessed via the Health-Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP-II), and SHS was evaluated using the medical examination report and Sub-health Measurement Scale V1.

[Histopathology changes in mice infected with Toxoplasma gondii Prugniaud strain].

Objective: To observe the symptoms and dynamic changes of histopathology in the organs from ICR mice infected by Toxoplasma gondii Prugniaud strain.

Methods: Thirty ICR mice were infected intraperitoneally with cysts, 10 cysts per mouse. 16 mice were injected with PBS.

[THz time-domain spectroscopic study of composites filled with different carbon black].

Composites were prepared by filling high density polyethylene (HDPE) with acetylene black (AC-CB) and high-structure CB (HG-CB), respectively. Optical properties of the composites were characterized with terahertz time-domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). It was found that as frequency increases the absorption coefficients of the composites increase whereas the refractive indexes decrease.
