Vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) phenotype transformation significantly contributes to vascular intimal hyperplasia. However, effective preventive and therapeutic measures are lacking. Colchicine, a binary alkaloid derived from Colchicum autumnale, is traditionally used for treating inflammatory diseases.

We aimed to report novel mutations in Chinese patients and to illustrate the clinical, histopathological, and molecular features of CTE in China.
Case Description: We report three cases of CTE diagnosed with whole-exome sequencing (WES) and MOC31 [a monoclonal antibody of epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EPCAM)] immunohistochemistry.

Exposure to Particulate matter 2.5 (PM) accelerates aging, causing declines in tissue and organ function, and leading to diseases such as cardiovascular, neurodegenerative, and musculoskeletal disorders. PM is a major environmental pollutant and an exogenous pathogen in air pollution that is now recognized as an accelerator of human aging and a predisposing factor for several age-related diseases.

In this study, seven new species of belonging to the subgenus have been identified based on morphological and phylogenetic evidence from subtropical regions of China. Morphologically, is characterized by the yellow, depressed, estriate pileus and medium-sized basidiospores; is recognized by the white and papillate pileus, adnexed lamellae, and presence of clamp connections; is identified by the pink-to-maroon and estriate pileus, and lamellae with lateral veins; differs from other cuboid-spored species by the lamellae edge which is red-brown-underlined; is characterized by the white pileus and carneogriseum-type cheilocystidia; is recognized by the pileus margin exceeding the lamellae, 2-layered pileipellis with hyphae of different widths, and the presence of clamp connections; is identified by the tomentose pileus, heterogeneous lamella edge, and versiform cheilocystidia with brown-yellow contents.

Methods: This study was carried out by searching Chinese and English literature from the establishment of the database to July 9, 2023, systematically, and assessing the quality and heterogeneity of the articles included.
Results: Thirteen studies with a total of 986 patients were included.
Objectives: Ovarian cancer (OC) can occur at different ages and is affected by a variety of factors. In order to evaluate the risk of cardiovascular mortality in patients with ovarian cancer, we included influencing factors including age, histological type, surgical method, chemotherapy, whether distant metastasis, race and developed a nomogram to evaluate the ability to predict occurrence. At present, we have not found any correlation studies on cardiovascular death events in patients with ovarian cancer.

Literature research and in-depth interview were used to collect the senile vitality sensitive indexes. The indexes were screened and corrected by Delphi expert consultation method, item analysis method based on classical test theory, factor analysis method, and reliability and validity analysis method.

Aim: To find factors influencing the surveillance of re-emerging intracranial infections in elective neurosurgical patients.
Methods: Ninety-four patients who underwent elective craniotomy from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2022 in the Department of Neurosurgery, First Hospital of Jilin University, were included in this study.
Background: Scar formation and loss of cutaneous appendages are the greatest challenges in cutaneous wound healing. Previous studies have indicated that antler reserve mesenchyme (RM) cells and their conditioned medium improved regenerative wound healing with partial recovery of cutaneous appendages.
Aim: To develop hydrogels from the antler RM matrix (HARM) and evaluate the effect on wound healing.
Vascular calcification is caused by the deposition of calcium salts in the intimal or tunica media layer of the aorta, which increases the risk of cardiovascular events and all-cause mortality. However, the mechanisms underlying vascular calcification are not fully clarified. Recently it has been shown that transcription factor 21 (TCF21) is highly expressed in human and mouse atherosclerotic plaques.

However, little is known about PIFs in crop plants such as cotton. Here, we identified 68 PIF proteins and their coding genes from an allotetraploid and three diploid ancestors.
View Article and Find Full Text PDF, a new psathyrelloid genus from tropical red soil of China, is established with as the type species. The new genus is characterised by basidiomata psathyrelloid, pileus rugose to appearing reticulate ridged, covered by persistent, but inconspicuous villus, pleurocystidia absent and ridge-ornamented spores with an obvious suprahilar plage. The genus is unique amongst Psathyrellaceae in producing ridge-ornamented spores with an obvious suprahilar plage and forms a distinct lineage within Psathyrellaceae, based on the Maximum Likelihood and Bayesian Inference analyses of a combined three-gene sequence dataset (ITS, LSU and β-).

To improve the adaptability of FB, the target FB strains were isolated from local saline-alkali soil, and the combined effects of FB and biochar were explored. The results showed that FB isolated from local soil showed better growth than the purchased strains under high saline-alkali conditions.

The study aimed to explore the targets and signal pathways of Suanzaoren-Wuweizi (S-W) in the treatment of anxiety by network pharmacology, and to verify the pharmacodynamics and key targets of SWHP in mice.
Methods: The Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology Database and Analysis Platform (TCMSP) as well as literature mining were used to obtain the main chemical ingredients of Suanzaoren and Wuweizi.

Background: Vasogenic cerebral edema resulting from blood-brain barrier (BBB) damage aggravates the devastating consequences of intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). Although augmentation of endothelial Wnt/β-catenin signaling substantially alleviates BBB breakdown in animals, no agents based on this mechanism are clinically available. Lithium is a medication used to treat bipolar mood disorders and can upregulate Wnt/β-catenin signaling.
