A 32-year-old woman with a history of acute hepatitis at age 9 years was found to have jaundice during pregnancy in 2008, and was diagnosed as having intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy. Materials And Methods: To identify parameters associated with the presence of NASH by evaluating anthropometric characteristics and routine biomarkers of 82 patients with histologically proven NAFLD and to develop a clinical score for predicting NASH according to the area under the curve of receiver operating characteristics (AUC) of parameters.
Results: Four parameters [alanine aminotransferase (ALT), gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT), C-reactive protein (CRP), and apolipoprotein B (ApoB)/apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) ratio] were significantly linked to NASH.
Lung cancer is the most common malignancy and the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide. While smoking is by far the leading cause of lung cancer, other environmental and genetic factors influence the development and progression of the cancer. Since unique mutations patterns have been observed in individual cancer samples, identification and characterization of the distinctive lung cancer molecular profile is essential for developing more effective, tailored therapies.
