An anionic redox reaction is an extraordinary method for obtaining high-energy-density cathode materials for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). The commonly used inactive-element-doped strategies can effectively trigger the O redox activity in several layered cathode materials. However, the anionic redox reaction process is usually accompanied by unfavorable structural changes, large voltage hysteresis, and irreversible O loss, which hinders its practical application to a large extent.

We aimed to investigate the prevalence of anxiety and explore the association between physical activities (PA) and anxiety risk in people with non-communicable diseases during the period of COVID-19 lockdown.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional telephone survey from February 25 to April 20, 2020, the period of COVID-19 lockdown in Shanghai.

Background: Previous studies focused more on the short-term risk of cardiovascular (CV) death due to traumatic psychological stress after a cancer diagnosis and the acute cardiotoxicity of anticancer treatments than on the long-term risk of CV death.
Methods: Time trends in the proportions of CV death (P), cancer death (P), and other causes in deaths from all causes were used to show preliminary relationships among the three causes of death in 4,806,064 patients with cancer from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) program. Competing mortality risk curves were used to investigate when the cumulative CV mortality rate (CMR) began to outweigh the cumulative cancer mortality rate (CMR) for patients with cancer who survived for more than 10 years.
Amplified ATP imaging in inflammatory cells is highly desirable. However, the spatial selectivity of current amplification methods is limited, that is, signal amplification is performed systemically and not in a disease site-specific manner. Here we present a versatile strategy, termed enzymatically triggerable, aptamer-based signal amplification (ETA-SA), that enables inflammatory cell-specific imaging of ATP through spatially-resolved signal amplification.

PGRPs are conserved from insects to mammals and have diverse functions in antimicrobial defense. Here we cloned a common carp PGRP ortholog, CcPGRP2 containing a conserved C-terminal PGRP domain.

Methods: Thirty-six patients with obesity undergoing LSG were included. We tested the irisin levels before and after LSG and conducted an evaluation of baseline irisin levels with elevated glucose as well as irisin changes with weight loss and its association with glucose control after LSG.
Heterostructures comprising lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles (DUCNPs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) are emerging as promising nanosystems for integrating medical diagnosis and treatment. Here, the DUCNP@Mn-MOF nanocarrier was developed, which showed good efficiency for loading and delivering a cytotoxic antitumor agent (3-F-10-OH-evodiamine, FOE). The combined advantages of the pH-responsive and peroxidase-like properties of Mn-MOF and the unique optical features of DUCNPs granted the DUCNP@Mn-MOF/FOE system synergistic chemodynamic and chemotherapeutic effects.

Here we report that isolation rearing of juvenile mice caused cooperation defects that were rescued by immediate social reintroduction. We also identified the transcription factor early growth response 2 (Egr2) in the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) as a major target of social isolation and resocialization.

Breast cancer and concurrent candidiasis represent a significant challenge in clinical therapy. Herein, a series of novel small molecule inhibitors simultaneously targeting bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) and histone deacetylase (HDAC) were designed for combinational treatment of breast cancer and resistant infections.

However, there is a lack of chemical tools for real-time visualization and detection of NAMPT. Herein, the first fluorescent and theranostic probes were designed for imaging NAMPT, which had dual functions of diagnosis and treatment.

Whereas previously, only heat-induced or helicity-dependent magnetization dynamics are demonstrated in metallic ferromagnets. Here, the linearly-polarized light control of magnetization is demonstrated in FM Co coupled with ferroelectric (FE) BiFeO by tuning the light polarization direction.

However, there are still many disputes about the blocking ability of monolayer (1L-) h-BN on the interlayer coupling. Graphene/h-BN/MoS optoelectronic devices have been reported for superior device results.

The objective of this study was to investigate the risks associated with non-albuminuric CKD in treated hypertensive patients in the Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial (SPRINT) population.
Methods: Based on baseline albuminuria status (urine albumin/creatinine ratio [UACR], ≥30 or <30 mg/g) and the levels of estimated glomerular filtration rate ([eGFR], ≥60, 45-59, or <45 mL/min/1.
Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) is identified as a promising target for cancer therapy. However, known NAMPT inhibitors are characterized by weak clinical efficacy and dose-dependent toxicity. There is an urgent need to develop new NAMPT intervention strategies.

We make use of mate-analysis and other analytic strategies (eQTL analysis and PPI network) to investigate the effect of interleukin-10 (IL10) on sepsis. Single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in IL10 were analyzed in 3011 septic cases and 2976 controls from 22 studies.

Rice ARGONAUTE2 (OsAGO2) is a core component of the rice RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC), which is repressed by Magnaporthe oryzae (M. oryzae) infection. Whether and how OsAGO2-mediated gene silencing plays a role in rice blast resistance and which sRNAs participate in this process are unknown.
