Background: Erlotinib, a small-molecule epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor, demonstrated therapeutic efficacy against pancreatic cancer. However, acquired resistance to erlotinib in pancreatic cancer is widely observed, and the exact mechanisms have not been fully explored until now. We examined the role of circular RNA circ_0013587 in the acquired resistance to erlotinib in pancreatic cancer cells and explored the underlying mechanisms.

The objective of this study was to characterize rituximab pharmacokinetics (PK) in pediatric patients with FRNS/SDNS, and to investigate the differences in rituximab PK between patients with FRNS/SDNS and other disease populations. Fourteen pediatric patients received rituximab for FRNS/SDNS treatment were enrolled in a prospective, open-label, single-center PK study.

Single molecule real-time (SMRT) sequencing makes it possible to reveal molecular mechanisms by direct sequencing of full-length transcripts. In the present study, the transcriptome profile of the freshwater snail Parafossarulus striatulus after exposure to 17β-estradiol (E2) or 17α-methyltestosterone (MT) was evaluated using SMRT sequencing strategy.

Sturgeon, a type of cartilaginous fish, is rich in CS. Our recent study demonstrated the effect of sturgeon chondroitin sulfate (SCS) on reducing colorectal cancer cell proliferation and tumor formation.

This study aimed to investigate the link between the protective effects of PPARα activation and the pathogenic effects of ANGPTL3 in podocytes. Both PPARα and ANGPTL3 were expressed in cultured podocytes.

This study investigated the influence of atorvastatin on the functional aspects of bone marrow endothelial progenitor cells (BM EPCs) in IRH patients.
Methods: BM EPCs were isolated from 15 patients with IRH and 20 normal controls.
Purpose: Talaromyces marneffei (TM) is a pathogenic fungus endemic in Southeast Asia and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-positive populations, but studies related to non-endemic areas and HIV-negative populations are still limited. Therefore, this study aims to provide more additional evidence for clinical work of talaromycosis.
Methods: To collect clinical information of patients with talaromycosis admitted to hospitals in Zhejiang Province, China from January 1, 2010 to May 31, 2020, retrospectively analyzed clinical characteristics and prognosis, COX multivariate regression analysis was used for survival analysis.
Triptolide (TP) has shown potential in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) treatment, but the narrow therapeutic window limits its clinical application. In clinical practice, the compatibility of and is often used to attenuate the toxicity of TP, but its compatibility mechanism has not been fully elucidated. The aim of this study was to investigate the pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of a combined regimen of TP and paeoniflorin (PF) after transdermal administration in male and female Sprague Dawley (SD) rats via a rapid and sensitive liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method.

Among 322 children undergoing PD at Children's Hospital of Fudan University, between January 2001 and December 2019, FP cases were retrospectively analysed and compared with those of bacterial peritonitis (BP) to analyse the risk factors of FP. A total of 124 cases of peritonitis were treated, including 11 FP cases in 11 children (0.

We aimed to report the characteristics and trend of COA consumption in different regions and health facilities in China. The procurement data of two types of COA, compound codeine phosphate (CCP) and oxycodone and acetaminophen (OAA), in all medical institutions of 20 provinces from 2015 to 2018 were used.

It is a small subset of the possible resistance mechanisms, even in epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)-mutated non-small cell lung cancer treated with EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Reports on programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) inhibitors are rare.

Methods: Patients with primary VUR were enrolled and analysed based on a national multi-center registration network (Chinese Children Genetic Kidney Disease Database, CCGKDD) that covered 23 different provinces/regions in China from 2014 to 2019.

Conventional approaches for protein assay often suffer from high costs, long analysis time, and insufficient sensitivity. The recently emerged nanoimpact electrochemistry (NIE), as a contrast, allows detection of analytes one at a time with simplicity, fast response, high throughput, and the potential of reducing the detection limits down to the single entity level.
