Crystal facet engineering and nonmetal doping are regarded as effective strategies for improving the separation of charge carriers and photocatalytic activity of semiconductor photocatalysts. In this paper, we developed a facial method for fabricating oxygen-deficient Br-doped BiOCl nanosheets with dominating {001} facets through a traditional hydrothermal reaction and explored the impact of the Br doping and specific facets on carrier separation and photocatalytic performance. The morphologies, structures, and optical and photocatalytic properties of the obtained products were characterized systematically.

In this study, a nomogram combining the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio/D-dimer with gender, number of metastases, and histological grade was established to predict progression-free survival in patients with unresectable advanced gastric cancer. We retrospectively collected baseline clinical characteristics and blood parameters from 153 patients diagnosed with advanced gastric cancer that underwent oxaliplatin-based first-line chemotherapy.

Chiral hydrogel combined with dimethyloxalyglycine (DMOG) as a dressing is a promising strategy for the treatment of chronic wounds. In this research, we have developed a DMOG-loaded supramolecular chiral amino-acid-derivative hydrogel for wound dressings for full-thickness skin regeneration of chronic wounds.

However, the role of mA on sepsis-induced myocardial injury is still unclear. Here, we investigated the functions and mechanism of mA methyltransferase METTL3 for septic myocardial injury.

Animal models that mimic AE-IPF can greatly accelerate investigation of its pathogenesis and development of effective therapy. However, there are few reports of animal models of AE-IPF caused by bacteria.

We used long-term data (from 1997 to 2017) for four plants, Stipa purpurea, Artemisia scoparia, Kobresia humilis and Astragalus laxmannii in the alpine meadow to examine the relationships among multiple climate factors, vegetative growth, reproductive growth, intrinsic growth rate and biomass. The order of returning to green determines the growth strategies of different plants, the earliest plants to green (p < 0.

Antimicrobial treatment is one of the most effective therapeutic options for infections. However, it can also lead to adaptive transcriptomic changes due to extreme selective pressure, which may increase the risk of antimicrobial resistance.

However, few studies have uncovered the metastasis mechanism of PDAC based on CTCs. In this study, the existing bulk RNA-sequencing (bulk RNA-seq) and single-cell sequencing (scRNA-seq) data for CTCs in pancreatic cancer were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database.

PSMα3 cytotoxicity is attributed to its amyloidal fibrillation and subsequent formation of cross-α sheet fibrils. Inspired by the multiple biological activity of Sappanwood, herein, we adopted brazilin, a natural polyphenolic compound originated from Caesalpinia sappan, as a potential antidote of PSMα3 toxins, and attempted to prove that the regulation of PSMα3 fibrillation was an effective alexipharmic way for MRSA infections.

Methods: Clinical data in this retrospective study were collected from a total of 135 LARC patients admitted to our hospital from June 2016 to December 2020. After screening by inclusion and exclusion criteria, 62 patients were included in the study.
This article is concerned with the local stabilization of neural networks (NNs) under intermittent sampled-data control (ISC) subject to actuator saturation. The issue is presented for two reasons: 1) the control input and the network bandwidth are always limited in practical engineering applications and 2) the existing analysis methods cannot handle the effect of the saturation nonlinearity and the ISC simultaneously. To overcome these difficulties, a work-interval-dependent Lyapunov functional is developed for the resulting closed-loop system, which is piecewise-defined, time-dependent, and also continuous.

Methods: Patients who were admitted to our hospital for joint pain and dysfunction after total joint arthroplasty between 2014 and 2020 were retrospectively included. Triple-phase bone scanning was performed, and the blood pool images were evaluated to obtain the semi-quantitative criteria.
Purpose: Present study is aimed to explore the role of miR-186-5p in sepsis-induced coagulation disorders and molecular mechanisms.
Methods: Thirty-four sepsis patients and 34 respiratory infection/pneumonia patients were selected in the present study. Polymicrobial sepsis model was created by cecal ligation and puncture (CLP).
Background: Phyllosphere microbes play important roles in host plant performance and fitness. Recent studies have suggested that tropical and temperate forests harbor diverse phyllosphere bacterial and fungal communities and their assembly is driven by host species identity and plant traits. However, no study has yet examined how seasonality (e.

Excessive activation of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase-l (PARP-1) by ROS can cause mitochondrial dysfunction and release of the proapoptotic protein AIF, which triggers an intrinsic PARP-1-dependent cell death program. Considering these characteristics of rhabdomyolysis-induced AKI, we developed a targeting nanodrug delivery platform by loading PJ34 and coupling anti-GPR97 with melanin nanoparticles (GMP nanoparticles) that could realize photoacoustic self-monitoring and triple-collaborative treatment (antioxidant, antiapoptotic, and anti-inflammatory).

However, the roles of natural antisense RNAs in the maintenance and myogenesis of muscle stem cells remain largely unexamined.
Methods: We analysed myoblast differentiation and regeneration by overexpression and knockdown of Foxk1-AS using lentivirus and adeno-associated virus infection in C2C12 cells and damaged muscle tissues.
The new hohlraum experimental platform and the quasi-3D simulation model are developed to enable the study of the indirect drive experiment using the six-cylinder-port hohlraum for the first time. It is also the first implosion experiment for the six laser-entrance-hole hohlraum to effectively use all the laser beams of the laser facility that is primarily designed for the cylindrical hohlraum. The experiments performed at the 100 kJ Laser Facility produce a peak hohlraum radiation temperature of ∼222 eV for ∼80 kJ and 2 ns square laser pulse.

Although human activities have greatly increased nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) inputs to the alpine grassland ecosystems, how soil microbial functional genes involved in nutrient cycling respond to N and P input remains unknown. Based on a fertilization experiment established in an alpine meadow of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, we investigated the response of the abundance of soil carbon (C), N, and P cycling genes to N and P addition and evaluated soil and plant factors related to the observed effects. Our results indicated that the abundance of C, N, and P cycling genes were hardly affected by N addition, while P addition significantly increased most of them, suggesting that the availability of P plays a more important role for soil microorganisms than N in this alpine meadow ecosystem.

The coexistence as well as the stability of multiple equilibrium points (EPs) of DRNNs are proved. With the Brouwer's fixed point theorem as well as the Lagrange mean value theorem, it is obtained that under some conditions, the n-neuron DRNNs with the proposed activation function can have at least 5 EPs and 3 of them are locally stable.
