Ceratohyoidectomy for treatment of equine temporohyoid osteoarthopathy (15 cases).

This study investigated 15 horses diagnosed with temporohyoid osteoarthopathy (THO) and treated by ceratohyoidectomy between 2004 and 2012. The presenting complaint, duration and nature of the clinical signs, additional diagnostic procedures, and complications were reviewed retrospectively. Long-term follow-up on horses was used to determine prognosis.
