Background: We hypothesized that mutations in several genes disrupt oxidative metabolism, increasing the risk of developing tumors and their malignancy in patients with a family predisposition to cancer. The purpose of our study was to assess the characteristics of oxidative metabolism in patients with malignant and benign tumor with and without a family history of cancer and identify the marker predicting the likelihood of malignancy.

Methods: We conducted a study on patients with thyroid pathology (thyrotoxicosis, benign tumor pathology of the thyroid gland, and thyroid cancer) who underwent treatment at LLC "Oncology Scientific Research Center" in Tbilisi, Georgia between 2020-2021.

Background: The triad "insulin resistance, prediabetes, diabetes" is three independent neologies with characteristic features and development. In addition, each are characterized by progression and the possibility of transition from one form to other. The commercial solution of fourth generation (G4) of poly-amidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers contains methanol, which is toxic for human body. Our differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) study of dendrimers confirmed the existence of this threat. The recommendation is done on how to prepare dendrimer solutions for practical and safely use in gene delivery.

Dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC) and 1,2-palmitoyl-phosphatidic acid (DPPA) liposomes, prepared by conventional rotary evaporation method, have similar structural organization, though they have significant differences. The similarity is that both types of lipids create standard bilayer liposomes with strong hydrophobic forces between lipids tails and with homogeneous bonds of hydrogen and electrostatic nature between hydrophilic lipids heads. By the calorimetric method, it has been shown that hydrophobic bonds break but liposomes' destruction does not occur by heating till 150 °C.
