Objective: To assess the cognitive cost of work for military police officers in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

Method: This is a cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach, carried out with 446 military police officers, of both sexes, distributed between non-commissioned officers and officers, in the 7th, 15th, 20th, 24th and 41st Military Police Battalions. An instrument was used to depict sociodemographic, work, lifestyle and health conditions and a scale for assessing the human cost of work, which analyses the demands of the job through physical, cognitive and affective costs.

Objective: To analyze pejotização in the context of nursing work and the respective implications for the protection and health of these professionals.

Method: Documentary study, which had news, resolutions, and recommendations issued by the Federal Nursing Council and the Regional Nursing Councils as data collection source, which underwent lexical analysis, based on data processing using the software Iramuteq.

Results: Six news items were captured for analysis.

Method: this is an exploratory-descriptive case study. Data were collected on the website of four Regional Labor Courts (in Brazil), taking into account the cases judged in first and second instance, involving nurses and aspects of labor rights that were linked to labor reform.

Methods: Qualitative, descriptive, exploratory research, carried out at two federal nursing colleges in Rio de Janeiro. Data collection occurred with 27 nursing teachers, between May and June 2016, through semi-structured interviews.
