Background: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a debilitating inflammatory disorder characterized by an overactive immune system targeting joints, leading to inflammation and intense pain. While current RA therapies effectively alleviate symptoms, they are often associated with significant side effects. Aim: The aim of the study was (1) to investigate the development of identification of environmental sounds in children with Cochlear Implantation (CI) within four months from switch on (i.e. at 0, 2 and 4 months) and (2) to see the effect of family type in the perception of environmental sounds.
