The requirements for actionability and accountability in data infrastructures are often viewed as incompatible, creating a trade-off where enhancing one diminishes the other. Through a comparative analysis of two data infrastructures used to share genomic data about the SARS-CoV-2 virus, we argue that making data actionable for knowledge development involves a commitment to ensuring that the data in question are representative of the phenomena being studied and accountable to data subjects and users. This in turn presupposes that: (1) enough data are contributed by a wide and diverse set of relevant sources; (2) mechanisms of feedback and inclusion are set up to ensure that data contributors can participate in data governance and interpretation, thereby helping to adequately contextualise data; and (3) accountability extends to the ways in which data infrastructures are run, financed and positioned vis-à-vis the communities they are meant to serve.

Existing simulation studies that evaluate the performance of IV approaches for time-to-event outcomes tend to consider either an additive or a multiplicative data-generating mechanism (DGM) and have been limited to an exponential constant baseline hazard model. In particular, the relative merits of additive versus multiplicative IV models have not been fully explored.

Methods: This review was registered on Open Science Framework prior to data extraction. A systematic search of PubMed, Embase, and SPORTDiscus was conducted.
Melanoma is an aggressive malignancy accounting for approximately 1% of all skin cancers. The standard of care for distant melanoma of the skin is immunotherapy with PD-1 inhibitors (nivolumab) or CTLA-4 inhibitors. In March 2022, the FDA approved the combination of nivolumab with relatlimab, a lymphocyte-activation gene 3 antibody.

Objective: To determine the feasibility of implementing a peer review continuous quality improvement program for pharmacists' documentation at the Montreal Children's Hospital.
Methods: A prospective, single-centre mixed-methods feasibility study was conducted (from January to June 2021) to evaluate the practicality and acceptability of a peer review program (PRP) for assessing the quality of pharmacists' documentation.
Unlabelled: The pharmacotherapeutic management of people living with HIV (PLWHIV) undergoing solid organ transplantation (SOT) is clinically challenging, mainly due to the frequent occurrence of complex drug-drug interactions. Although various strategies have been proposed to improve treatment outcomes in these patients, several uncertainties remain, and consensus practice guidelines are just beginning to emerge. The main objective of this scoping review was to map the extent of the literature on the pharmacotherapeutic interventions performed by healthcare professionals for PLWHIV undergoing SOT.

This study aims to describe RAL trough plasma concentrations (C) during pregnancy and review the impact of RAL TDM on outcomes.
Methods: Women from the prospective mother-infant HIV cohort of Mother and Children's Infectious Diseases Center who received RAL during their pregnancy between 2011-2020 were included.
Appearance- and performance-enhancing supplements (APES) may be associated with liver and renal toxicity, but use is often under-reported. This study describes the use and safety of APES among gay, bisexual, and other men-who-have-sex with men (gbMSM) attending an urban HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) clinic. A cross-sectional study was conducted between February 2018 to September 2018 to assess APES usage in gbMSM taking daily tenofovir disoproxil fumarate/emtricitabine for PrEP.

By providing people living with HIV (PLHIV) with access to their personal health information, educational material, and a communication channel with HCPs, a tailored patient portal could support their engagement in care. Our team intends to implement a patient portal in HIV-specialized clinics in Canada and France.

Here, we sought to investigate whether DRN 5-HT is necessary to reduce fear via negative prediction error (-PE).

Risk of non-AIDS comorbidities is associated with gut dysbiosis, epithelial gut damage and subsequent microbial translocation, and increased activation of both circulating CD4+ and CD8+ T-cells. Therefore, in addition to ART, novel gut microbiota-modulating therapies could aid in reducing inflammation and immune activation, gut damage, and microbial translocation.

Purpose: Hyperopia (farsightedness) has been associated with a deficit in children's educational attainment in some studies. We aimed to investigate the causality of the relationship between refractive error and educational attainment.
Methods: Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis in 74,463 UK Biobank participants was used to estimate the causal effect of refractive error on years spent in full-time education, which was taken as a measure of educational attainment.

Despite availability of effective antiretroviral therapy (ART), many HIV patients still have a detectable viral load (VL). Predictive factors of detectable VL are not well documented. This study was done at two large multidisciplinary HIV outpatient clinics at the Centre hospitalier de l'Université de Montréal (CHUM) and the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC).

Testing kinship between pairs of individuals is central to a wide range of applications. We focus on cases where many tests are done jointly. Typical examples include cases where DNA profiles are available from a burial site, a plane crash or a database of convicted offenders.

Many robust MR methods are available to address pleiotropy, but these assume independence between the gene-exposure and gene-outcome association estimates. Unlike in two-sample MR, in one-sample MR the two estimates are obtained from the same individuals, and the assumption of independence does not hold in the presence of confounding.

Despite not having significant changes to its core mission of force health protection, the medical team has recently evolved to face several challenges, with a coronavirus pandemic and a fatal helicopter crash. This article describes the medical challenges and experiences of the medical team from August 2019 to December 2020, highlighting changes from previous years.
