Background: An episiotomy is a perineal incision performed to facilitate childbirth by enlarging the diameter of the vulvae outflow. This study used vicryl rapide suture, a polyglactin analogue that causes less tissue reactivity and is removed through hydrolysis (as opposed to chromic catgut suture), because long-term complications after episiotomy repair are common. Made of collagen, chromic catgut is broken down by proteolytic enzymes and phagocytosis, which causes an inflammatory response in the tissues.

The risk of accidental injury to people with epilepsy may vary in different geographical areas, according to their life style, leisure activities and other pursuits.

Left ventricular morphology in chronic renal failure by echocardiography.

M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiography were performed in 38 chronic renal failure (CRD) patients on conservative management, 35 patients on hemodialysis, and 36 matched controls. The controls were matched for age, sex, and comorbidities. The incidence of hypertension, left ventricular (LV) end diastolic volume, LV end systolic volume, and LV mass index were significantly higher in patients on hemodialysis compared to the controls.

Twenty-three renal allograft recipients with uncomplicated post-transplant courses were sonographically evaluated on the 3rd, 10th, 30th, and 90th post-operative day.
