Differential expression of serum CXCL9 and CXCL10 levels in vitiligo patients and their correlation with disease severity and stability: A cross-sectional study.

Background Vitiligo is an acquired disorder of pigmentation with an elusive pathogenesis, though various theories have been proposed. The presence of peri-lesional autoreactive CD8+ T cell infiltrate suggests the involvement of abnormal immune responses and autoimmunity in vitiligo. Recent studies have identified the IFN-γ-CXCL9/CXCL-10 axis as a key component of the autoimmune response that perpetuates disease activity in vitiligo.

Increased Predisposition of SJS TEN in COVID-19 Patients, Presenting as Post COVID Complication: Report of Two Cases.

We report two consecutive cases of toxic epidermal necrolysis presented to our emergency department in the past 5 months. Both patients had history of fever prior to the onset of skin manifestations and showed radiological findings suggestive of COVID-19 pneumonia and elevated D dimers. ALDEN score was used to assess the drug causality, which showed probable and possible associations, respectively.

Skin as a Mirror to Internal Malignancy: A Rare Co-presentation of Nail Bed Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Renal Cell Carcinoma.

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the nail bed is not encountered commonly although it is the most common primary malignancy at this site. In general, it has a low rate of spread, except for high risk types which carry a greater risk of spread. Screening for systemic tumours should be done in all cases especially in the elderly.
