ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) is a leading cause of cardiogenic shock (CS) and carries substantial mortality. Cardiac power output (CPO) is the strongest predictor of clinical outcome in CS, and worse outcomes result from concomitant right and left ventricular failure.
