Decisions to decline breast screening and/or breast cancer treatment based on the potential harms of overdiagnosis and overtreatment: a qualitative study.

Objectives: To explore the experiences of women who have made the decision to decline breast screening and/or breast cancer treatment for overdiagnosis/overtreatment reasons after being invited to the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme (NHS BSP).

Design: Qualitative interview study using reflexive thematic analysis.

Setting: Participants were recruited via social media, online forums and word of mouth.

Patient-reported outcomes in diabetes-related foot conditions: Is patient experience influenced by ethnicity? A mixed-methods systematic review.

Aims: Research in diabetes-related foot conditions (DRFC) often focuses on ulcer-related care, whilst the patient experience and influence of sociodemographic factors are under-researched. This systematic review investigated patient-reported outcomes and experience in people with DRFC.

Methods: Multiple databases were searched from inception to 16 August 2023.

Reporting and representation of underserved groups in intervention studies for patients with multiple long-term conditions: a systematic review.

Objectives: Globally, there is a growing number of people who are living with multiple long-term conditions (MLTCs). Due to complex management needs, it is imperative that research consists of participants who may benefit most from interventions. It is well documented that ethnic minority groups and lower socioeconomic status (SES) groups are at an increased risk of developing MLTCs.

Music as an alternative self-regulation strategy to snack foods following a negative mood induction in 5-7-year-old children: Interactions with parental use of food as a reward.

This study aimed to extend studies that have looked at snack food consumption following a negative mood induction, and examine whether listening to a happy song would counteract these effects in children. A second aim was to examine whether parental feeding practices (use of food as a reward and the use of food to regulate emotions) and child Body Mass Index (BMI) would moderate any differences. Eighty 5-7-year-old children took part in a negative mood induction and were then assigned to either a happy music condition or a silent control condition.
