Purpose: Oxidative and inflammatory pathways play a significant role in the pathophysiology of a wide variety of non-communicable diseases such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and hypertension. However, the effect of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D ‎‎(25[OH]D) on these pathways is still controversial. To evaluate the association of 25[OH]D on ‎antioxidant and pro-inflammatory biomarkers, reduced glutathione (GSH) and tumor ‎necrosis factor (TNF)-α, in T2DM and hypertensive patients.

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is common in children. It is caused by bacteria and can lead to complications such as renal scarring in cases of late diagnosis and a lack of early treatment. Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) occurs when urine flows from the bladder to the ureter and kidney, and is more common in children with UTI.

Objective: This preliminary study was conducted to explore physical therapists' (PT) perceptions of and satisfaction with delivering telerehabilitation sessions to patients with knee osteoarthritis during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Study Design: An exploratory preliminary study using an internet-based survey followed by focus group sessions.

Methods: A programme of sessions was administered by 12 PTs from the Physical Therapy Department at Prince Sultan Military Medical City.

A case of postoperative cerebellar mutism with hyperphagia in a child following gross total resection of medulloblastoma occupying the cerebellar vermis.

Introduction: Cerebellar mutism syndrome is a well-known complication following posterior fossa tumor resection. Its incidence is markedly increased among patients with medulloblastoma. Patients typically present with an inability to communicate verbally due to disruption of the dentato-thalamocortical pathway.

Objective: To detect Saudi women's complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practice and attitudes in superficial injuries first aids.

Methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study included 500 women from Princess Nourah bint Abdul Rahman University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Pre-designed questionnaire was used to collect their socio-demographic characteristics, complementary and alternative medicine practice and attitude in superficial injuries first aids.

Abducens nerve schwannoma of the cavernous sinus: A case report and literature review.

Background: Schwannomas of the abducens nerve are a rare pathology and are encountered less within the cavernous sinus. We describe a case of sixth cranial nerve schwannoma, in the cavernous sinus.

Case Description: A 50-year-old lady, presented with 2 years history of double vision and left facial numbness that started 6 months before presentation, found to have hyperintense lobulated mass at the left cavernous sinus extending into Meckel's cave with bony remodeling on magnetic resonance imaging.

Perioperative lumbar drain utilization in transsphenoidal pituitary resection.

Objective: To evaluate lumbar drain (LD) efficacy in transnasal resection of pituitary macroadenomas in preventing postoperative cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak, technique safety, and effect on length of hospital stay.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective data review of pituitary tumor patients in our institution who underwent surgery between December 2006 and January 2013. All patients were operated on for complete surgical resection of pituitary macroadenoma tumors.
