This paper proposes a novel controller design using adaptation based modified super twisting control to facilitate trajectory tracking and hovering maneuvers for the quadrotor. The controller gains of the existing modified super twisting control require bounds on the disturbance for trajectory tracking and hovering of the quadrotor. In this paper, the controller gains are adapted using the proposed dynamic adaptation law without knowing the actual disturbance or their upper bounds.

Most obturator hernias are diagnosed intraoperatively due to their vague signs and symptoms. However, they are associated with a high mortality rate mainly because of the patient's age, comorbidities, and late diagnosis. We present three cases of obturator hernia in patients admitted under our care with signs of acute intestinal obstruction.

This article presents a finite-time heterogeneous cyclic pursuit scheme that ensures consensus among agents modeled as integrators. It is shown that for the proposed consensus scheme, even when the gains are nonidentical, consensus results within a finite time, provided all the gains are positive or even if one gain is negative, subject to a lower bound. An algorithm is presented to compute the consensus value and consensus time for a given set of positive gains and initial states of the agents.

Objectives: The objective was to investigate the effect of clozapine on spontaneous gamma activity in treatment-resistant bipolar psychotic mania.

Methods: Patients with treatment-resistant (TR) bipolar psychotic mania on clozapine monotherapy and nontreatment-resistant bipolar psychotic mania patients receiving lithium were prospectively studied for 6 weeks on severity of psychopathology and 30-49 Hz gamma spectral power.

Results: Spectral power significantly increased in the lithium group and decreased in the clozapine group; no within group significant difference found.

Alcoholic hallucinosis is a rare complication of chronic alcohol abuse characterized by predominantly auditory hallucinations that occur either during or after a period of heavy alcohol consumption. Bleuler (1916) termed the condition as alcohol hallucinosis and differentiated it from Delirium Tremens. Usually it presents with acoustic verbal hallucinations, delusions and mood disturbances arising in clear consciousness and sometimes may progress to a chronic form mimicking schizophrenia.
