Conventional immunoassays such as ELISA and FLISA have been used for clinical diagnosis for a long time. These assays are complex, time-consuming, and uneconomical. They have been overwhelmed with newer and more efficient methods such as electrochemical and electrochemiluminescent immunosensors that are cost-effective and require less time.
