Condylar screws are utilized when previous surgical bone removal along the supraocciput has occurred which makes anchoring of a traditional barplate technically difficult or impossible. However, the challenging dissection of C0-1 necessary for condylar screw fixation and the concerns about possible complications have, thus far, prevented the acquisition of large surgical series utilizing occipital condylar screws.

However, the fact that many patients with IBD are non-responsive to anti-TNF therapies suggests the need for a better understanding of TNF signaling in IBD. Here, we show that co-deletion of TNF receptor 1 (TNFR1, Tnfrsf1a) in the Il10 spontaneous colitis model exacerbates disease, resulting in very-early-onset inflammation after weaning.

This review aims to examine the evidence to aid surgical decision-making.
Methods: A medical database search was expanded to include article references to identify all relevant published case series.
We have previously identified extensive glycation, bound fatty acids and increased quantities of protein aggregates in commercially available recombinant HSA (rHSA) expressed in Oryza sativa (Asian rice) (OsrHSA) when compared to rHSA from other expression systems. We propose these differences may alter some attributes of nanoparticles fabricated with OsrHSA, as studies have associated greater quantities of aggregates with increased nanoparticle diameters. To determine if this is the case, nanoparticles were fabricated with OsrHSA from various suppliers using ethanol desolvation and subsequent glutaraldehyde cross-linking.

We present a wearable sensor platform designed for monitoring and studying autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity for the purpose of mental health treatment and interventions. The mobile sensor system consists of a sensor band worn on the ankle that continuously monitors electrodermal activity (EDA), 3-axis acceleration, and temperature. A custom-designed ECG heart monitor worn on the chest is also used as an optional part of the system.
