Mesonephric-like adenocarcinomas (MLAs) are rare neoplasms of the uterus corpus and ovary, while high-grade serous carcinoma (HGSC) is the most common and lethal epithelial ovarian malignancy. We report a case of a 56-yr-old woman who presented with bilateral solid and cystic ovarian masses. She underwent a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, lymphadenectomy, omentectomy, and peritoneal biopsies.

Objective: To explore the association between infectious agents and ovarian cancer, we investigated the prevalence of viral DNA in primary ovarian cancer tumors and its association with clinical outcomes.
Methods: Archived tumors from 98 patients diagnosed with high-grade serous epithelial ovarian cancer were collected between 1/1/1994 and 12/31/2010.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate the feasibility and safety of planned postoperative day 1 discharge (PPOD1) among patients who undergo laparotomy (XL) in the department of gynecology oncology utilizing a modified enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) protocol including opioid-sparing anesthesia (OSA) and defined discharge criteria.
Methods: Patients undergoing XL and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) were enrolled in this prospective, observational cohort study after the departmental implementation of a modified ERAS protocol. The primary outcome was quality of life (QoL) using SF36, PROMIS GI, and ICIQ-FLUTS at baseline and 2- and 6-week postoperative visits.
The intrauterine device is one of the most effective forms of contraception. Use of the intrauterine device has increased in the United States over the last 2 decades. Two formulations are commercially available in the United States: the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine device and the copper intrauterine device.

Here, we present the data on recruitment, retention, and baseline demographic, clinical and lifestyle behavior characteristics of the LIVES study participants.
Methods: The LIVES study (NRG Oncology/GOG 0225) is a Phase III diet plus physical activity intervention trial testing the hypothesis that ovarian cancer survivors in the lifestyle intervention will demonstrate better progression-free survival than those in the control condition.
Purpose: The objective of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab in combination with standard carboplatin/paclitaxel in patients with advanced endometrial cancer (EC).
Patients And Methods: This single-arm, open-label, multi-center phase II study enrolled patients with RECIST measurable advanced EC. Patients could have received < 1 prior platinum-based regimen and < one non-platinum chemotherapy.
Objectives: To determine the clinical and prognostic significance of CA-125 trends prior to, during, and after chemotherapy in high-risk early-stage epithelial ovarian cancer patients.
Methods: All patients were enrolled in a phase III randomized trial (GOG 157) following upfront surgery for grade 3 stage IA/IB, stage IC, or stage II disease, and had been treated with either three or six cycles of carboplatin/paclitaxel. Kaplan-Meier method and Cox proportional hazards model were used to evaluate recurrence-free survival (RFS) and overall survival (OS).
Objective: To assess the presentation, characteristics, and prognostic significance of symptoms in patients with high-risk early-stage epithelial ovarian cancer.
Methods: A retrospective chart review was performed on all patients enrolled in a phase III clinical trial (GOG 157). All patients had surgically staged, high-risk early-stage epithelial ovarian cancer (stage IA-IB and grade 3, any clear cell, stage IC or II).
Introduction: In the wake of George Floyd's murder, White faculty in our department began to express the desire to gain a greater understanding of structural racism and racial inequity. To facilitate this learning, support allyship, and mitigate the emotional labor and taxation that frequently falls on faculty of color to respond to these appeals, we developed AWARE (Allies Welcomed to Advance Racial Equity), a faculty seminar series primarily designed for and led by a majority White faculty to tackle the topics of structural racism, Whiteness, and Anti-racist action.
Methods: We developed a 6-session seminar series, identifying 5 White faculty as lecturers and a cadre of Black and White volunteer facilitators, to lead 60-minute sessions comprised of lecture, facilitated small group reflection, and large group sharing, that reviewed key topics/texts on structural racism, Whiteness, and Anti-racism.
Objectives: Older women have a worse prognosis with advanced epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) and comorbidities likely contribute to poor outcomes. We sought to identify comorbid conditions and treatment-related factors in older women.
Methods: A retrospective chart review identified 351 patients who underwent cytoreductive surgery (CRS).
Many women see an obstetrician/gynecologist (OB/GYN) annually and receive their primary care from an OB/GYN. Understanding OB/GYNs' human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination practices, including knowledge of and barriers to vaccination, is essential to design effective interventions to increase vaccination. This study evaluated OB/GYN knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs regarding vaccinating both younger (18-26 years) and mid-adult (27-45 years) women.

The effect of distance has a complicated relationship with disease characteristics and outcomes in other cancers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between distance from cancer facility on clinical stage at diagnosis in women with cervical cancer.

Study Design: A retrospective cohort study was performed to compare surgical site infection rates for patients undergoing hysterectomy over a 1-year period surrounding the implementation of an institutional infection prevention bundle.
Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has few therapeutic targets, making nonspecific chemotherapy the main treatment. Therapies enhancing cancer cell sensitivity to cytotoxic agents could significantly improve patient outcomes. A BCL2-associated agonist of cell death (BAD) pathway gene expression signature (BPGES) was derived using principal component analysis (PCA) and evaluated for associations with the TNBC phenotype and clinical outcomes.

Treatment recommendations have not been well established, particularly for more advanced cases. We present the first reported death from a metastatic UTROSCT, summarize the available literature, and describe characteristics common to UTROSCTs with aggressive features.

Methods: This is a multicenter retrospective study examining consecutive cases of surgically treated stage I-IV low-grade serous ovarian carcinoma (n = 178). Archived histopathology slides for the ovarian tumors were reviewed, and LVSI was scored as present or absent.

Despite our best medical and behavioural strategies, the physical and mental health of the overweight and obese remains compromised. In an effort to improve treatment outcomes, research has begun to focus on (1) specific BMI categories, and (2) subjective well-being (SWB), a broad construct exploring how we evaluate and experience our lives. Positive psychology is concerned with SWB, through the application of variables associated with health, happiness and optimal functioning.
