Objective: To determine whether temperature screening is useful in detecting and reducing workplace transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
Methods: A survey was conducted to determine whether temperature screening successfully identified workers with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) among a convenience sample of medical directors of multinational corporations in a wide range of industries.
Results: More than 15 million screenings were performed by 14 companies.

Background: This analysis assessed combined safety data from 4 clinical studies of teduglutide in pediatric patients with short-bowel syndrome-associated intestinal failure (SBS-IF).
Methods: Safety data from teduglutide-treated patients in 4 clinical trials were pooled. The completed 12-week and 24-week phase 3 core studies (NCT01952080/EudraCT 2013-004588-30 and NCT02682381/EudraCT 2015-002252-27) enrolled children aged 1-17 years with SBS-IF.
Latent transforming growth factor binding proteins (LTBP) are a family of extracellular matrix glycoproteins that play an important role in the regulation of transforming growth factor beta (TGF-ß) activation. Dysregulation of the TGF-ß pathway has been implicated in the pathogenesis of inherited disorders predisposing to thoracic aortic aneurysms syndromes (TAAS) including Marfan syndrome (MFS; FBN1) and Loeys-Dietz syndrome (LDS; TGFBR1, TGFBR2, TGFB2, TGFB3, SMAD2, SMAD3). While these syndromes have distinct clinical criteria, they share clinical features including aortic root dilation and musculoskeletal findings.

Methods: We identified patients with International Classification of Diseases, ninth revision (ICD-9) codes for epilepsy or seizures and clinical CMA testing performed between October 2006 and February 2011 at Boston Children's Hospital. We reviewed medical records and included patients who met criteria for epilepsy.
Norrie disease (ND) is an X-linked recessive disorder characterized by congenital blindness, progressive sensorineural hearing loss and cognitive impairment. The ocular phenotype has been well described, while the extraocular manifestations of the disorder are not well understood. We present the data from the Norrie Disease Registry, which consists of 56 patients with detailed clinical histories and genotype data.

Eliglustat tartrate was well tolerated at single doses ≤ 20 mg/kg and multiple doses ≤ 200 mg bid, with 50 mg bid producing plasma concentrations in the predicted therapeutic range. No serious adverse events occurred.

Since approval by the FDA in 1994 and EMEA in 1997, enzyme replacement therapy with Cerezyme (imiglucerase for injection) has been the standard of care for the treatment of Gaucher disease.
Objective: To review the long-term international safety experience of imiglucerase from 1994 through 2004.
Subacute combined degeneration (SCD) of the spinal cord is a characteristic complication of vitamin B12 deficiency, but it has never been neuropathologically demonstrated in a B12-inborn error of metabolism. In this report SCD is documented in a 15-year-old boy with early-onset cobalamin C (cblC) disorder. The neuropathologic findings included multifocal demyelination and vacuolation with predilection for the dorsal and lateral columns at the mid-thoracic level of the spinal cord, confirming the similarity of SCD in cblC disorder to the classic adult SCD due to vitamin B12 deficiency.
