Unlabelled: Hypertension disproportionately affects African Americans, and adequate blood pressure (BP) control remains a challenge. Self-management of hypertension is critical for improving BP control and reducing hypertension-related morbidities.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to describe hypertension self-management (HTN-SM) behaviors and the relationship between HTN-SM and self-reported BP in middle- to older-aged African American adults.

Although continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the recommended therapy, lack of patient compliance and persistent symptoms often preclude its success. A 'can't intubate, can't oxygenate' (CICO) situation is an uncommon and time-critical emergency. Many institutions have adopted a 'scalpel-bougie-endotracheal tube (ETT)' technique based on evidence produced by the 4th National Audit Project of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and 2015 Difficult Airway Society guidelines. We made a modification to the traditional 'scalpel-bougie-ETT' technique, using a shortened bougie and replacing the ETT with a cuffed Melker airway in a preassembled device (called 'Secure Airway for Front-of-neck Emergencies' (SAFE airway device)), which we felt might reduce cognitive load on a single operator in an emergency CICO situation.

Background: The objective of this study was to evaluate the clinicopathological characteristics and patterns of care among women diagnosed with vulvar malignancy at a tertiary care teaching institute. Novel S-scheme based nanocomposite of MXene/VO for environmental remediation towards sustainable development: An insight into influencing parameters.

In this study, a novel 2D/2D nanocomposite of MXene and VO was synthesized using a facile hydrothermal approach for the efficient removal of crystal violet (CV), a textile dye from contaminated water to achieve Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14; "Save Lives Below Water". Here, the catalytic performance of pristine MXene was prominently boosted with the introduction of ball milled VO as an electron generating agent. The degradation efficiency of synthesized nanocomposite significantly enhanced from 57 % to 92 %, 41 % - 76 % and 7 % - 58 % with an error of ±2 % as compared to pristine MXene at 10, 20 and 30 ppm concentrations of CV, respectively.
