The frontier of artificial intelligence (AI) is constantly moving, raising fears and concerns whenever AI is deployed in a new occupation. Some of these fears are legitimate and should be addressed by AI developers-but others may result from psychological barriers, suppressing the uptake of a beneficial technology. Here, we show that country-level variations across occupations can be predicted by a psychological model at the individual level.

Accurate identification and volume measurement of kidney stones are critical for determining the appropriate surgical approach, as timely and precise treatment is essential to prevent complications and ensure successful outcomes. Larger stones often require more invasive procedures, and precise volume measurements are essential for effective surgical planning and patient outcomes.

The impact of heavy metals in the pathogenesis of renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is unclear with scant available literature. Though previous studies have evaluated the role of heavy metals in RCC, majority of those studies have evaluated either single or few heavy metals in urine.

Polypharmacy is common in psychiatry settings. The study aimed to evaluate the antidepressant drug prescription pattern and polypharmacy in a psychiatry outpatient setting.

We argue that the technological transformation has created an entirely new ecosystem that is often mismatched with our evolved adaptations for social living. We discuss how evolved responses to moral transgressions, such as compassion for victims of transgressions and punishment of transgressors, are disrupted by two main features of the online context.

Dermatologic immune-related adverse events (D-irAEs) are the most common and earliest to manifest, often with important downstream consequences for the patient. Current guidelines lack clarity in terms of diagnostic criteria for D-irAEs.

This research article presents CovMediScanX, a deep learning-based framework designed for a rapid and automated diagnosis of COVID-19 from CXR scan images.
Methods: The proposed approach encompasses gathering and preprocessing CXR image datasets, training deep learning-based custom-made Convolutional Neural Network (CNN), pre-trained and hybrid transfer learning models, identifying the highest-performing model based on key evaluation metrics, and embedding this model into a web interface called CovMediScanX, designed for radiologists to detect the COVID-19 status in new CXR images.
Objective: To provide a clinical approach towards immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-associated endocrinopathies, their link with cancer outcomes, factors which differentiate them from other immune related adverse events, and health systems innovation to improve care for these patients.
Methods: A literature search for articles pertaining to ICIs and endocrinopathies was performed and supplemented by expert opinions of the authors.
Results: While immune related adverse events can affect almost any organ, they frequently target the endocrine glands, most commonly thyroid.
Objectives: To assess the PharmD student's experiences about end year clerkship evaluation conducted using Objective Structured Clinical Exam (OSCE) format at JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, India.
Methods: The student's experiences were captured using a newly developed, 14-item, 5-point Likert's scale feedback form. The results were analyzed and presented descriptively.
Does believing that "effort doesn't pay" in society shape how people view dishonest-illegal transgressions? Across five studies, we show that when people view societal success as non-meritocratic-that is, more dependent on luck and circumstances than on hard work-they are more lenient in their moral judgements of dishonest-illegal transgressions. Perceiving society as non-meritocratic predicted greater justifiability of dishonest-illegal transgressions in the United States (Study 2), and across 42 countries (N = 49,574; Study 1). And inducing participants to view society as non-meritocratic increased justifiability of others' dishonest-illegal transgressions, via greater feelings of sympathy (Studies 3 and 4).

In an analysis of 701 effects across 237 samples, encompassing 811,663 participants, a significant relationship of = .13 was found between religiosity and prosociality (and antisociality, which was treated as its inverse).

Malaysia exhibit one of the highest diabetes rates in the Western Pacific and incurring an annual cost of 600 million US dollars. The objective of the study is to determine the antidiabetic properties of green honey (GH) using a zebrafish model.

Methods: The investigators implemented a cross sectional study on patients treated with procedures requiring metal implants for management of maxillofacial trauma, fixation for orthognathic surgery, and total temporomandibular joint replacement (TJR). Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry was used as an analytical method to detect metal ions in serum samples.
Scientific evidence regularly guides policy decisions, with behavioural science increasingly part of this process. In April 2020, an influential paper proposed 19 policy recommendations ('claims') detailing how evidence from behavioural science could contribute to efforts to reduce impacts and end the COVID-19 pandemic. Here we assess 747 pandemic-related research articles that empirically investigated those claims.

We sought to improve our institution's approach to evaluation and governance of algorithmic technologies used in clinical care and operations by creating an Implementation Guide that standardizes evaluation criteria so that local oversight is performed in an objective fashion.
Materials And Methods: Building on a framework that applies key ethical and quality principles (clinical value and safety, fairness and equity, usability and adoption, transparency and accountability, and regulatory compliance), we created concrete guidelines for evaluating algorithmic technologies at our institution.
Relationships between cutaneous adverse effects (CAEs) and noncutaneous adverse effects (NCAEs) of melanoma immunotherapy may help identify patterns tied to distinct immunologic pathways. The objective of this study was to determine the associations between CAEs and NCAEs among patients with stages III-IV melanoma receiving immunotherapy and who were enrolled in a prospective cohort. Electronic medical record data were abstracted from the first immunotherapy infusion until 1 year later.

Frailty and health-related quality of life (HRQOL) are established predictors of prognosis and have already been shown to be poor in the dialyzing population. Existing data show correlation between these measures in the ESKD population, however there is little evidence for those on haemodialysis specifically.

We also suggest that MDT can help explain challenges to economic and social progress by revealing fundamental tensions between puritanical intuitions and liberal ideals.

Rapid progress in artificial intelligence has introduced a fourth category for our moral psychology to deal with: intelligent machines. Machines can perform as moral agents, making decisions that affect the outcomes of human patients or solving moral dilemmas without human supervision.

Unlabelled: Currently, there is no consensus on estimating the malignant potential of Carotid Body Tumor (CBT) and the only way to predict a metastatic CBT is through DOTANOC Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan. There is a well-established correlation between CBT and superoxide anions inside tumor cells. The purpose of this pilot study was to measure superoxide anions inside CBT cells and find if these can be used as marker to predict malignant potential of CBT.
