EUS has opened a new frontier in endoscopic techniques for accessing pancreatic ducts in patients with failed ERCP. The major indications of EUS-guided pancreatic duct intervention (EUS-PDI) are main pancreatic duct (MPD) strictures due to chronic pancreatitis or strictures of pancreaticojejunal or pancreaticogastric anastomosis after Whipple resection, which lead to recurrent acute pancreatitis. EUS-guided pancreaticogastro or duodenostomy offers an alternative to surgery when transpapillary drainage fails or is not possible.

We present a 56-year-old man with a history of liver transplant 8 weeks prior for hepatitis C cirrhosis and HCC who presented for shortness of breath. Background: There is currently limited long-term data regarding the clinical outcomes of endoscopic stents as an alternative for emergency surgery in the treatment of acute esophageal perforation. Our aim was to compare the long-term outcomes of endoscopic stenting with those of surgery for patients with acute esophageal perforation.
Methods: We performed a retrospective study of acute esophageal perforation patients who underwent insertion of esophageal stents (N.
Background And Aims: Combining simethicone (SIM) with a colon preparation agent has been shown to improve mucosal visibility during screening colonoscopy, but its effect on the adenoma detection rate (ADR) remains unclear. SIM is commonly used through the endoscope to eliminate bubbles during endoscopy. However, this practice recently has been associated with endoscope-transmitted infections.

The major aims of this study are to determine the prevalence and gene expression profile of EoE in these populations.
Methods: This is a retrospective cohort study of patients from two institutions predominantly serving a Hispanic population.
Background: Gastroparesis (GP)-like syndrome presents with the symptoms of GP but without delayed gastric emptying (GE). Whether GP-like syndrome is part of a spectrum of GP is not clear. This study aimed to compare the histopathological features of antral and pyloric smooth muscle tissue in GP and GP-like syndrome.

Esophageal perforation has been reported to be as high as 10%. We conducted a retrospective study to evaluate the perforation rate of PD when used for impaired relaxation of the LES using current techniques.

The higher prevalence of Crohn's disease in Caucasian and Jewish ethnicities, as well as its familial aggregation and higher concordance among monozygotic twins, suggest some roles for genes in its development, clinical progression, and outcome. Recent original studies have indicated DLG5113G/A gene polymorphism as a risk factor for Crohn's disease.
