Most Indian adolescents, particularly girls and private school students, do not engage in sufficient physical activity (PA). Current understanding of these sociodemographic differences is limited by a focus on exercise, which may not fully capture PA in developing countries. The study objective was to analyze the prevalence and predictors of gun ownership and support for gun control policy using a national representative sample of US adults. Nationally representative data from the General Social Survey (2010 to 2016) were used to examine sociodemographic, geographic, and attitudinal differences in gun ownership and views towards laws requiring police permits before gun purchases (N = 6184).
