Background: Approximately, 40% of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) patients experience insufficient symptom relief from proton-pump inhibitors (PPI), resulting in PPI-refractory GERD (rGERD).
Objective: To review the existing literature and develop an Indian expert group consensus statement on the place of vonoprazan in the management of rGERD.
Materials And Methods: A panel of 35 leading Indian gastroenterologists extensively reviewed the literature to develop consensus statements for the management of rGERD in Indian patients, with a focus on the newly available potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB), vonoprazan.
An amphiphilic pyrene derivative exhibiting unusually stable excimer emission due to strong aggregation is presented. The aggregated system served as an intelligent sensor for metal ions and nitro explosives in aqueous media. The excimer displayed excellent selectivity toward Cu among the tested cations.

The Cu(I)-catalyzed reactions of (R)-glyceraldehyde acetonide and dibenzylamine with terminal alkynes provided the corresponding (2S,3R)-α-amino alcohols with good-to-excellent diastereoselectivity. Subsequent chemical transformations provided easy access to the alkynyl side-chain containing (2S,3R)-AHBAs.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA Cu(I)-catalyzed α-oxyaldehyde-dibenzylamine-alkyne coupling reaction was delineated for the construction of α-oxyamines with excellent yields and diastereoselectivity. Crystal structure analysis and theoretical calculations were also supportive of the formation of syn-α-oxyamines as the major products. Application of the methodology addresses the synthesis of (+)-β-conhydrine along with analogs having two different diversity features.
