Objective: To summarise the efficacy and toxicity of salvage low-dose-rate brachytherapy (LDR-BT) and compare these findings with the published data on salvage high-dose-rate brachytherapy (HDR-BT).
Methods: We reviewed PubMed and EMBASE for studies published up to May 2024, mainly focusing on recurrence-free survival (RFS) with salvage LDR-BT across subgroups. We also compared RFS and adverse events with HDR-BT as a secondary objective.
Background: To date, no meta-analysis has been conducted to compare the effectiveness and safety of adjuvant tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and adjuvant immunotherapies (IMTs) in renal cell carcinoma (RCC) patients using reconstructed individual patient data (IPD). This study aims to fill that gap by assessing the efficacy and safety profiles of these treatments in such patients.
Methods: This study employed a systematic approach for identifying relevant literature from the PubMed and EMBASE databases.
