Establishment of Recombinant Gene Rabies Virus SRV and Identification of Its Biological Characteristics.

Canids act as a crucial intermediary in the transmission of rabies and , serving as co-infection hosts and pathogen carriers for both rabies and hydatid disease (HD) transmitted from animals to humans. Therefore, an effective and efficient bivalent oral vaccine for preventing HD and rabies is urgently required to reduce economic losses in husbandry resulting from rabies and HD. In this study, a full-length plasmid (pcDNA4-NPM+G+EgM123+eGFP+L) carrying the gene and fluorescence reporter genes of eGFP and four auxiliary transfection plasmids of rabies virus SRV (pcDNA4-N, pcDNA4-P, pcDNA4-G, pcDNA-L) were established by reverse genetics approaches and co-transfected to BSR cells by electrotransfection.

Evaluation of the growth performance, meat quality, and gut microbiota of broilers fed diets containing walnut green husk extract.

This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of walnut green husk extract (WGHe) on the growth performance, meat quality, antioxidative status, gut morphology, and microbiota diversity of broilers. A total of 216 one-day-old broilers were divided into 4 groups, each consisting of 9 replicates (6 birds per replicate) as follows: 1) control group, basal diet; 2) antibiotic group, basal diet supplemented with enduracidin and colistin sulfate; 3) low-dose group, basal diet supplemented with 5.0 g/kg WGHe; and 4) high-dose group, basal diet supplemented with 10.

Genomic characterization of two Orf virus isolates from Jilin province in China.

Orf virus (ORFV), a typical member of the Parapoxvirus genus within the family Poxviridae, which is the causative agent of Orf, a common epitheliotropic viral disease of sheep, goats, wild ruminants, and humans. In the present study, we sequenced the complete genomic sequences of two ORFV strains (ORFV-SY17, isolated from sheep, and ORFV-NA17, isolated from goat) and conducted the comparative analysis of multiple ORFVs. The complete genomic sequence of ORFV-SY17 was at length of 140,413 bp, including 131 potential open reading frames (ORFs) flanked by inverted terminal repeats (ITRs) of 4267 bp at both ends.
