Objective: Thyroid cancer is the most common malignant endocrine tumor, with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) being the most prevalent type, accounting for 85% of thyroid cancer cases. Here, we conducted a bibliometric analysis of the literature in the field of microRNAs in PTC research to demonstrate current trends and research hotspots, and present a visual map of past and emerging trends.

Methods: We searched the Web of Scientific Core Collection (WoSCC) database for publications from 1999 to 2023 centered on this field.

Lung cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in humans and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. The microRNA-34 (miR-34) family is dysregulated in various human cancers and is an important family of tumor suppressor genes among microRNAs. The miR-34 family is downregulated in lung cancer.

Objectives: To systematically evaluate the effectiveness and safety of neoadjuvant immunotherapy for patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Methods: Randomized controlled trials of neoadjuvant immunotherapy in treating patients with NSCLC were comprehensively retrieved from electronic databases, eligible studies, previous systematic reviews and meta-analyses, guidelines, and conference abstracts. The meta-analysis was performed by the Stata/SE 12.

The perivascular epithelioid cell tumor (PEComa) is a rare tumor of interstitial origin characterized by several immunological and muscle cell markers. The clear cell sugar tumor (CCST) of the lung is a type of PEComa defined by thin cell walls and high levels of glycogen in the cytoplasm. We herein reported the case of a 48-year-old male with a recurrence of lung CCST.

The effects of acupuncture on Alzheimer's disease (AD) outcomes remain controversial. The aim of this review was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture for the treatment of AD. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Chinese BioMedical Literature Database, VIP Database for Chinese Technical Periodicals, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Wanfang Data were searched to identify relevant randomized controlled trials from inception to January 19, 2019.

Objective: To systematically evaluate the quality of clinical practice guidelines (CPG) for medically treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and to compare the context of recommendations in order to provide references for clinical application.

Methods: We searched databases of National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC), Guidelines International Network (GIN), National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network (SIGN) and World Health Organization (WHO), PubMed, Embase, CNKI, VIP, WanFang Data, CBM, and Medlive from their establishment to October 13, 2019, to collect evidence-based guidelines and/or consensus on BPH. Method quality of included guidelines was assessed according to the Appraisal of Guidelines for Research and Evaluation II (AGREE II) instrument, and differences and similarities among recommendations were compared.

Two new quercetin glycoside derivatives named quercetin-3-O-[2-O-trans-caffeoyl-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 6)-β-D-glucopyranoside] (1) and quercetin-3-O-[2-O-trans-caffeoyl-β-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1 → 6)-β-D-glucopyranoside] (2) along with three known flavonoids, 5-hydroxy-6,7,3',4',5'-pentamethoxyflavone (3), 5,7-dihydroxy-8-methoxyflavone (4) and kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), were isolated from the fruits of Gardenia jasminoides var. radicans. The structures of the new compounds were determined by means of extensive spectroscopic analysis (1D, 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS), glycoside hydrolysis and sugar HPLC analysis after derivatisation.

The chemical constituents of 95% ethanol extract of Melastoma dodecandrum were isolated and purified by chromatography on silica gel, Sephadex LH-20, and HPLC, to obtain thirteen compounds eventually. On the basis of their physico-chemical properties and spectroscopic data, these compounds were identified as quercetin (1), quercetin-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), quercetin-3-O-(6"-O-p-coumaroyl) -β-D-glucopyranoside (3), kaempferol (4), kaempferol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), kaempferol-3-O- [2",6"-di-O-(E)-coumaroyl]-β-D-glucopyra-noside (6), luteolin (7), luteolin-7-O-(6"-p-coumaroyl) -β-D-glucopyranoside (8), apigenin (9), apigenin-7-(6"-acetyl-glucopyranoside) (10) , naringenin (11), isovitexin (12), and epicatechin-[8,7-e] -4β-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,4-dyhydroxyl-2(3H)-pyranone (13). Eight compounds(3,5,6,8-11 and 13) were obtained from M.
